We walked here with our dog from the fish hotel. Although the tower was closed when we got there, we knew this would be the case though, the views from the area were worth the walk. If I were to visit again I should like to go to the top of the tower to experience the view.

An interesting folly to look at and internally climb to the top, if you're fit. On a day with sunny weather, the sights are incredible. At the head of the low cost car park, there is a lovely gift shop and cafe, serving fresh and tasty food. The car parking fee can be reclaimed when purchasing something from the cafe... More

Follow the footpaths up the hill from town up to the tower. Nice views. I believe there is a good little cafe a little way down from there which would make for a nice refreshment at the top.

This is a popular place and there are other attractions on the shared site (nuclear bunker & café). When we visited the asphalted car parks were all full so we had to park on grass - even further from the hilltop Tower. We walked uphill (gentle slope), passed the loo 'caravans' and the café before reaching the Tower which looks... More

The views from the Tower grounds is stunning with deer and sheep in the surrounding fields. The Tower itself houses a small high quality gift shop, museum and lovely exhibition of William Morris up a 'lighthouse' style staircase. From the top there is a 360 degree view where you can see for many miles. Access to the Tower from the... More

By all accounts the views from here are stunning. We couldn't see a thing as the mist descended on a July day. Instead, we completely understoodhow a WW2 plane could lose its bearings and crash into the hillside here, killing all on board. The tower itself is worth walking up, with good displays on each floor to explain the various... More

A really nice attraction giving fantastic views across 16 counties allegedly. Some interesting pictures and artefacts in the tower detailing its history, and the customary gift shop selling all sorts of over-priced stuff.

The sign at the bottom says 1 1/4 miles but it seems much further uphill! Worth the climb for the view, and the cafe at the top.

Our first visit to the Cotswolds with our dog so we looked for attractions that allowed him. Could not take him up the tower or in the nuclear bunker but plenty of fields around. High class tea room and van selling ice cream.
