A lovely place to wander around and browse. Some lovely eateries and even a lift to access easily for the less able. No need to worry about stairs. Got a bit confused finding it as it is Windsor and Eton rail station as opposed to Windsor reail station 1/2 mile up the road. Leads onto 'normal' shopping precinct.

The Royal waiting room is an undercover gallery of shops and cafes and is part of the grade 2 listed Windsor/Eton rail station. It still retains some of its original features including the 1897 Jubilee arch and cobbled paths. There is also a replica steam engine called "The Queen " ideal for photo opportunities. A stones throw from Windsor Castle and High... More

It is excellent how they have developed this old station location. Good choice of shops and eateries in a quirky fun location which is kept spotlessly clean.

This is a beautiful building that used to house the station where royalty would travel to. The trains stop just outside now and the buildings have been converted sympathetically to shops and restaurants. There is a tourist information office but I don't think it is an official one so they will probably try and sell you tickets to attractions rather... More

The Royal Waiting Room (in the old main station) is a real treat to break away from the 'hustle and bustle' of Windsor - it is somewhat quieter and is perfect for short strolls away from the high street

After a walk down to the river and across to Eton college we made our way back to central Windsor and took a detour down through the shopping centre and into the old station area. The area has been modernised and there are numerous eateries to choose from together with replica of the Queens Train for a photo opportunity. With... More

Great place to eat and drink. Plenty of restaurants and cafes. Great atmosphere and vibe. The best thing is that it is undercover so the weather won't spoil your visit.
