Visited Frogmore on one of the charity open days. Free parking on the long walk was a doddle, which led to a 10 mins walk to the house/gardens - via the toilets in the main car park! Then on to the gardens....we got there early...More

Like your other reviewers, we trekked over to see the house on the last of 3 charity open days. The grounds are marvellous and despite the crowds, there is always space. Not the biggest royalist in the nation but there was an undoubted frisson in...More

Frogmore is open on a limited number of days in the year. The grounds are stunning with a beautiful lake, wonderful flowers, quirky "follies" and of course, the house. Also here are the two Mausoleums - one for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and the...More

Frogmore House was purchased by George III for Queen Charlotte in the 17th century. It is only open to the public for three charity days each year unless you are a group of 15+ people; you can then pre-book a visit in August. The dates...More

Although we live only 15 miles away and have been to Windsor countless times, never have we been to Frogmore House. We got there early as they warned that they had limited free parking, and that it that was filled we would have to park...More

Must refute the previous negative review about queuing etc. The 3 open days are run by charities, who are staffed by volunteers. There were some "admin issues" at the welcome desk at the car park and there was a queue at the house ticket desk...More

Buy the ticket online & print it. Then queue to get in to the car park; Queue to swap the ticket for a 'real' ticket (some seemed to manage to avoid this part!); Queue for the toilet; Queue to buy a coffee; Queue to buy...More

I have been a Windsor resident for 25 years and this was my first visit to historic Frogmore House with my mum and sister. We had a wonderful and relaxing day, we brought a picnic and enjoyed the views and a look inside the house....More

We visited today on one of the three days Frogmore House is open this year. It is not open more than one weekend a year. The gardens were £6.50 and the house entry for £7.00. We bought tickets in advance for the open gardens and...More

Rarely open to the public it's worth keeping your eyes peeled for the few open days a year. Fascinating house with an amazing history absolutely crammed full of generations of royal belongings. Also beautiful grounds to visit.

I don't believe there are picnic benches in the grounds, no. You also have to go through security and large bags must be checked in to a cloakroom before entering the house. Picnics are allowed on the charity open days in... More
