After the Wedding a lovely visit
May 2019
We went after the wedding of Harry and Megan, it was so beautiful made even more special as we had a glorious day and were able to sit on the grass soaking up the sunshine.
The cakes available were lovely, I really enjoyed my time there.

A group visit
Aug 2019
As we were on an August timed group visit we did not experience any queues as those on the open days did. We were met and greeted by staff who split us up into smaller groups as some of the rooms inside were small. That was good for us too as we were able to see and hear everything. Our guide was originally from Russia but his knowledge of British history and that of the house was fantastic. We got a real feel for the older and modern day history of Frogmore House. We were lucky to be there on a sunny day with a heron resting at the edge of the lake. The plane noise though must disturb anyone living on the estate as they are a fairly constant roar overhead.

Wonderful experience.
Aug 2019
Was lucky enough to go on a private group evening tour. We were divided into groups of 12, which was ideal. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable, without overload. The rooms were beautiful and fascinating.
This was followed by a walk around the grounds and then champagne on the lawn - perfect on a lovely summer evening.
The house is only open on a very few days, plus pre-arranged groups in August, so check before planning to go.

Very informative guides
Aug 2019
Organised a coach trip here which was very successful. We were a large group, so split up into smaller parties for the guided tour of the house. The guides were very friendly and informative. We learnt a great deal about both the house and the Royal Family and everyone came away pleased with their visit. It is a shame that the mausoleums have been left to get in such a state they are now not safe for the public to visit.

This is Frogmore House NOT Frogmore Cottage!
Aug 2019
When the Queen is in Balmoral in August, Frogmore House and gardens, which is normally closed to the public, is open on a limited number of days for small group guided tours. The very knowledgeable guide took us through the history of the house and the art and architecture of the rooms before finishing with a glass of champagne and a walk around the gardens - where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (and other royals recently) held their wedding reception. It’s a privilege to glimpse a normally secluded part of Windsor Park where the royal family host many charity events, as well as more private family events. The mausoleum containing the tombs of Victoria and Albert is in the gardens, but is currently closed for a major refurbishment. Hopefully in a few years it will be another gem to visit.

worth a visit
May 2019
Watch for adverts when the place is open to visit. Great garden, lovely house, easy parking and a walk once inside, but there is a buggy travel
