    Fun and engaging experience
The hidden temple was very fun to do with kids (10 and teenagers). The puzzles were a good level of difficulty and interesting. The rooms were immersive. It would have been nice to have a more engaging intro to the room and some kind of completion token afterwards e.g. a certificate with a photo or something like that. Also, would have been nice to have a leader board so we can see how we did relative to others.

    Fantastic experience
We had an amazing time, you really get into solving the clues and working together very quickly. We were grateful for the hints and clues for staff when it looked like we needed a prompt. Would highly recommend to anyone and Windsor is such a great place to visit anyway so lots to do afterwards or before.

    Incredibly enjoyable and fun session
Very enjoyable session for the Crown Jewels Heist, we visited for a family occasion with ages ranging from 8 - 70+. Everyone got involved in solving the clues which resulted in unexpected exciting results. Staff were very helpful, we couldn't’ have done it without them. A well organised fun event exceeding expectations.

    Great fun!
Great fun! Cool little backstory to the game. We did the 'Area 51' experience and it was fiendishly difficult in places but also very good if you're new to escape rooms. The host was brilliant and made it very relaxed and fun for us. They helped us when needed (we needed it a lot......) but didn't 'spoonfeed' it to us. I would recommend for smaller groups as the room can be a bit claustrophobic for groups larger than 4.

Great Experience - A Windsor must do!!
This was our second visit to the Escape Experience and we absolutely loved it!! The games are exciting and challenging, making it such fun. We have had the same host on both occasions and he kept us on track throughout the games. Thank you Ty for another great game!! Looking forward to booking again for the next one!! See you soon, Janice & Dean x

    Great activity!
We did the crown jewels heist as a group of 8 as part of my cousin's 30th birthday celebrations. The actual place was a bit tricky to find bit it added to the fun of it all. We were running a little late but I rang to let them know and they were very good about it. Once we got there our host Haider explained clearly what we needed to do which was to solve the clues and get the crown jewels and sceptre. It was a bit overwhelming to begin with but once we got started we began to solve the clues and it was just so much fun. The host gave us a couple of clues when we were a bit stuck but overall we didn't use as many as some other groups. I won't give too much away about the room itself but we managed to escape I just over 40minutes. All in all a great experience and would definitely recommend it. Good value for money.

    A Well Designed Escape Room
We have just completed The Hidden Temple room here and we had a great time. There were 4 of us taking part with varying levels of experience with escape rooms. I was the only person who hadn’t done one before but within a few minutes of getting in there understood the idea! An entertaining host for the room (they leave you to it after an introduction unless you call out for help!) and a well designed set of interactive puzzles and clue solving mysteries. We’ll definitely be going again to try one of the other rooms.

    Great family challenge
We escaped with the crown! Great family activity (even the teenager enjoyed it). Very imaginative room - challenging to us newbies but manageable. We had a great host who made us feel very welcome. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

Nice way to engage children in puzzle solving
An excellent entry level escape room. Perfect with children who can be tasked with specific puzzles. We made it out in 40 minutes in a team of four adults and two children aged 11 and 8.

Myself and 2 others visited and played the Caved In Room.
Overall we were slightly disappointed with the experience.
The game host was amazing. He was very funny and really welcoming. But the room itself was a little overpriced and did not live up to expectations. We are regular escape game players and for the price expected something a little more wow.
The puzzles themselves were unique and interesting. We also liked the fact the room wasn't too "padlock heavy" there was a nice mixture used. The room itself was a little claustrophobic and extremely hot! I would not want to be in there with 3 others. 2 were tight enough!
Although the room was well themed, we feel it did not match the description online and was a little underwhelming. Also, it was only based in one room unlike others where it is split into 2 or 3. You also exit out of the same door you enter in which made the ending a little disappointing.
Overall, I will not be recommending caved in to others. I think we would be willing to try the other rooms if the price was a little lower! As this was definitely the most we have paid for a room.
Again, thank you to the team for being great hosts and giving us a good laugh.

Hi Jade, thank you for leaving a review. We take all feedback on board. I think it's best to split your view into the positives and negatives :) Positives: - Amazing games host - well done Ewan, one of our fantastic hosts! - Unique/interesting puzzles - Not many padlocks - there is a huge amount of tech in this room - Well themed - we agree! Negatives: - Price - our prices do reflect the prices around us. Being in Windsor everything is more expensive. We have also invested a huge amount in making our rooms look as good as they play. - Online Description - we mention this is a small room and not for people with claustrophobia, which we understand is not to everyone's taste. Despite the size we've managed to fit in more puzzles than both Area 51 & Crown Jewel Heist, so there is plenty to do :) - Heat - the room contains air conditioning but it has not be switched on. With all of the cold weather we've been getting it tended to stay cool in there. We will now look at switching this back on as we come into the warmer months. Once again thank you for your review, we're always looking for ways to improve. Sorry on this occasion caved in was not to your liking but we hope you'll be back to play our new room "The Lost Mask Of Tlaloc".

This company’s organisation is horrendous - beware! Received a gift card for Christmas and myself and my two children 10 and 8 really looked forward to doing The Magic Portal outdoor experience. Telephoned and booked for Feb half term only to turn up and be told I couldn’t have booked as they weren’t running the experience! No explanation as to how I’d been able to call and book for it!? I even showed them my call history to prove the conversation took place because they didn’t seem to believe me! After waiting 30 minutes it seemed there was nothing they could do for us (but luckily for us Escape in 60 in Windsor stepped in to save our day! See my review on them for great customer service!) Decided to try and use the gift card again for Easter holidays but put everything in writing via email rather than dare use the phone after our first experience and after several back and forth communications the email confirmed our booking for Wed 20th April. Turned up on the day only to be told I was booked in their diary for Thursday 21st! Was by then thinking I was on some kind of a hidden camera show! They did after some waiting time manage to get it sorted out for us but my head was all over the place. We were running so late by then and had such a brief explanation as to how the game worked that we lost the first 20 minutes from the game due to misunderstandings and were therefore never going to get done in the time which just left us frustrated and feeling it was a waste of time and money (albeit it someone’s gift to us). On my two experiences this company really doesn’t deserve anyones money and their premium rate price is no way reflective of their service levels. If I could have given them zero rating I would have. Staffed by incompetents who don’t understand the first thing about customer service and never once took ownership of their consistently poor service. I love Escape rooms and experiences but this place is atrocious. Do yourself a favour and go to Escape in 60 instead.

Hello Jo, to see this review really upsets us. Firstly to openly call our team "staffed by incompetents" on a review says more about you than us. As you can tell by our other fantastic reviews our team are far from incompetents and actually are brilliant! We bend over backwards for people, mainly because we love seeing people have a good time, and most of the time we get it right. On this occasion we did get it wrong initially due to a new staff member booking you in for our outdoor experience which we were not running in Jan/Feb because of the weather, and we were apologetic for this happening. If we weren't on such good terms with Escape In 60 (who you neglect to mention we recommended) we'd have suspicions you were part of their team. We hope customers reading your review and our reply will give us a chance to impress them with our friendly, highly competent team and our first class escape rooms. Thanks, Emma and our human team who very occasionally make mistakes.

We really enjoyed the Crown Jewels Heist escape room. Solving the clues were a bit tricky at times but our host Nazim was on hand to help when needed.
We would very much recommend the experience, although I would agree with other comments that it is quite expensive for 1 hour activity, but as we were two couples the cost was spread, for a single family it might be a bit steep. That said we would definitely be back again in the future.

We’ve done a few escape rooms and Caved in was pretty good. The puzzles were fun to complete and not too difficult but had you thinking.

The room is very small so wouldn't recommend any more than 2 of you as it does get very hot.

We had a fantastic time and still have 10 mins left!

We really enjoyed this experience and despite not escaping our game I'd definitely come back. I don't want to put too much about the actual room as I don't want to spoil the experience for others, but we did crown jewels heist with kids and they could interact with it and had a good time. I would say that part of the 'room' is very badly lit so it was hard to see the colours to complete the tasks and a pen and paper in part of the experience would've been helpful.

Our host was very good, engaging and helpful. My only negative would be the pricing. We were 2 adults and 3 kids and it cost £138, £26ea and a booking fee. This is incredibly steep for a 1 hour activity and I think some attention needs to be paid to that, maybe a price for the initial two people and then a much reduced rate for subsequent guests. I think it wasn't great value for money despite the good time we had.

Myself and my Mum actually went to try the Caved In room that they had, having stumbled across them on Google. Really good initial impression of the place, as the facilities and eating area are clean and simple.

The room itself was probably the smallest I've ever played in, having played half a dozen or so, and at first I thought it wouldn't have much to offer. However, a room with lots of small tricks and puzzles, twists and turns, and plenty of excitement! It was both challenging and enjoyable, and I would highly encourage anybody who has played a few escape rooms before to give this a go!

The room was much more physical then expected, but something I personally enjoyed. It really meant you had to get stuck in and involved, rather than just standing and poking at puzzles which some escape rooms tend to lend themselves to.

The room itself however is very small (by no means a criticism!) and although said to be designed for 2-4, having 4 people would provide challenging as you would inevitably get in each others way. The room is perfect for a couple, a pair of best friends or a set or even for a date activity.

The puzzles challenging, the staff nice and the facilities well put together, I would highly recommend.

Hi Jordan, thank you so much for playing our Caved in room and leaving this fantastic review. It is SO nice to read your comments and the team is ecstatic that we've achieved our goal - which was to design a unique escape room in a small space which is still just as enjoyable as the normal format. A special thank you for the comments about our team, we all read the review left here and it's lovely to receive your comments. We hope to see you back for another room at some point :)

We have never done one of these before. It was my husbands birthday and he, myself, my son and his girlfriend went to the Windsor escape room. We had no idea what to expect and didnt have a clue when we walked in. I think the poor gamemaster was exacerbated with us because we couldnt work out things so he kept sending us helpful clues. It was a lot of fun and we solved it within 58 minutes. I felt that £120 (£30 each) was VERY expensive and too expensive for what it was. It would be different if there were 4 friends and they were paying for themselves, but £120 was overpriced anyway. I would go back again only if the price was £20 each. But not good value for £30 each.

The best escape room! I went with my sisters and we had so much fun. We were actually the first ones to try this new room! Our host Emma was amazing and gave clues without giving the answer away. The room itself was brilliant and so creative - you could tell that a lot of effort had gone into designing it. I would definitely recommend you to try this one! Thoroughly enjoyed it :)

Visited as a group of six. Very expensive for what it was (we paid £148 for our group) and host was unenthusiastic, quite difficult to understand and we left feeling quite well what a waste of money that was! Some of the stuff inside didn't work properly either. It felt like a disregard for the amount of money we had just spent there, no enthusiasm from staff at all to make the experience good. Won't return.

My husband and I had a rare child-free afternoon and decided to try the Hidden Temple, having escaped from Caved In a few years back. We have done a lot of escape rooms together in Windsor, Reading and London so we understand what's out there and how varied they are.

The decor was good and the room felt immersive. There was one element that I won't give away that sets it apart from other rooms we've tried, and was very similar to a gimmick in Caved In (though the Caved In version was better). There was plenty to do and we only just got out in time. The first sections were good (though there was one bit we solved by accident), but in the third bit, you're suddenly faced with lots of puzzles which seem less linear and less coherent than the first parts, one of which has no logic to it at all and just involved slotting things in in no particular order. The focus there was more on collecting the items. We did get flummoxed a few times and needed one or two hints.

We are not sure but we think a few of the releases may have been done by remote control by the host. There was one in particular where specific weights were required and we definitely weren't precise in weight (only in number) and another where we think we'd only done half of the task.

The host greeted us very quickly when we arrived, gave us an opportunity to use the loos and lock away belongings. He explained the room clearly and came into the room to help when we were each unable to shut a vital lid. Once we'd escaped, he came to answer our questions about the room. One thing that differed from other rooms we've done was that he gave us no feedback on our performance, and did not offer to take a photo, or suggest that we return to play any other rooms. When we left the room, my husband and I went back into the waiting area to get my bag from the locker and he disappeared off towards the office area without a word. We were left to find out own way out.

Overall, it was a decent room, and the attention to decorative detail was great, but we found it difficult to progress sometimes and not everything made sense to us. There were no wow moments but that may be because we've done so many rooms.

Overall I have to go with a 3 partly because of the room being decent but not amazing, and partly because of the slightly different style of customer service at the end from other rooms we've done.
