Visited for a stroll yesterday. Used to visit as a child 40 years ago and it's still a perfectly peaceful and relaxing place. The gardens are well kept and tidy. Loads of seating and open space for lounging around and watching the world go by.

Stayed here awhile looking at the boats (Boulter's lock) and went over to the island to look at the Weir and see the birds and guinea pigs. There is a cafe (didn't use it) and the entrance is beside the restaurant.

As the football was on my granddaughter & great granddaughter and myself decided to go and feed the ducks at Boulders Lock. We had a lovely time, also when to see the small animals and birds. My great granddaughter Maisie loved it.

Ray mill island is open every day. There is no one on site permanently and it is run by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Info and phone numbers are on their website. Hope this helps!
