It may be an Odeon, but this cinema definitely has an English olde-worlde charm. Loved visiting this as it almost feels like an independent cinema rather than an Odeon. As with all Odeon's, it shows new releases and live broadcasts.

I love the way England reworks old buildings for modern purposes. We worked through a Tudor building in the centre of the city to watch our movie in comfortable chairs. We were in an intimate theatre, although I'm told there is a bigger theatre for more mainstream films. Great free wifi as well!

Wonderful building. Major blockbusters are put on in screen 1, an old theatre, which means you are very distant from the screen. Second to that, you can hear the movies from the other screens- I went to see 'me before you' and all of the quiet moments of the film were the music and sounds of loud action scenes from... More

The building is beautiful from the inside and out, however not the most wonderful cinema. The seats are okay, however the majority of the screens aren't big enough to justify the price of the tickets. The staff don't seem very happy but that's probably because the building is cold. Would go back, seeing as it's the local cinema but it... More

The cinema is within a beautiful old building, the front part of which still has a lot of charm. Not the fanciest of cinemas and basic facilities but very pleasant. The kids movies are really great value. The online ticket booking service is also easy - unfortunately picking up the tickets at the self service ticket machine doesn't always go... More

The Odeon was constructed in the 1930's, and converted in 1990's to provide 5 screens. Screen 1 and Screen 5 retain the 1930's woodwork, plasterwork, ceiling etc, but all screens are actually quite a decent size, with pretty good seating. But you enter through a genuine medieval cloth hall - with stained glass, amazing woodwork etc etc! GO AND SEE!!

Well what can I say other than its a cinema, you go to watch a film. You can get your usual food and drink but you need to have saved for a while as these paces are never cheap, but people pay it the prices for convenience. The screen and sound quality are are great and the seating are comfortable... More

My daughter and I went to see a movie in theater 1 and we were so enamored with the entire place! We loved all of it from the entrance built in the 1400s to the newer theater in the back with its midevil charm. I did a little research and learned that Queen Elizabeth I attended Royal Premeries here!

Yes, This period building in the heart of salisbury is not a cinema for the claustrophobic. It is small cinema with a surprisingly large amount of screening rooms towards the back. Tickets can be pricey, but it does contain small screening rooms of just about two dozen people. I would recommend this cinema to anyone!

We've lived here for 20 years so are frequent visitors to our local cinema. The building provides a wonderful setting and given the age of the property any discomforting elements should be taken in context (too hot, cold, poor access etc etc). Staff have always been welcoming and friendly.
