Peaceful
Sep 2021
Pleasant, peaceful gardens with the River Avon on two sides and through the middle, where it opens out for a shallow paddling area. Car park, equipped childrens play area and benches. Perfect for a picnic or just relaxing.

Peaceful oasis minutes from the centre of the City.

Beautiful, well tended park with lovely stream running through it, ideal if you want a paddle. Felt very calm and peaceful and there were lots of benches to sit and relax if you didn’t want to sit on the grass. There was also a nice children’s play park and an adjacent car park. Nice place to go if you’ve been walking around the sites in the City, ideal spot for a relaxing picnic.

Lots of wildlife including Sheep!
Great views of the Cathedral.

Lovely gardens

What a delight, just steps away from the city centre.
Just a shame that groups, more than 6, of teenagers gather here a lot of the time - it can be intimidating.
However, if you ignore that factor, it really is a beautiful garden. I must bring my camera next time!

Beautiful stunning place. Great that it has a very shallow stream rubbing through the middle making it perfect for a paddle.

Nice place for dog walk or picnic in the summer. The little stream is beautiful. There was some broken glass around so be careful with shoes off.

Well worth a visit, lovely peaceful place by the water, loads of benches. The surrounding area is great for exploring the city and it’s many attractions. Dog friendly, family friendly and within easy walk of the town centre and Cathedral. Go there yoU won’t regret it.

It's not just a park!
Jul 2019
When we walked from the Old Mill House and walked along Harnham until we had arrived at Queen Elizabeth Park.

I was so surprised to see many kinds of flowers at this park. Then I stopped to look at all the flowers. It turned out to be that we were caught up with the beauty of this park. My spouse also enjoyed his time taking photos of the river and the scenery and flowers.

We like nature, and flowers. I spent my time to find the FACE of the flowers. I studied Japanese flower arrangement therefore it took time for me to take a photo of the Face of each flower .

Across the road of this well kept park in a great location. I saw a shallow river where Dad and children were inside the shallow river and had good time chatting and catching the ball together.

This area would be very nice for children to have good time and there was big space across the park where people play sports.

Summer next year, we will revisit this park again. I also have some flowers for everyone to enjoy and imagine how nice this park is.

A beautiful well kept park with lovely views of the water meadows and Cathedral. Young families love it kids can jump in the river go to the island and picnic under the trees. My grandchildren’s favourite place to visit.

One of my favourite places in Salisbury. Lovely walks and sometimes a group playing in the park. The beautiful Willows are huge. The River shallow enough for the youngsters to paddle. There is a play area too and toilets close by. The flower beds are well cared for. Several benches for you to relax and just enjoy your surroundings.
