Please note Bowood House is currently closed for the Winter Season and will re-open on March 25th, 2016.

Renowned as one of the biggest and best adventure playgrounds in the South of England. Huge slides, rope walks, a large pirate galleon plus swings, flying foxes and the famous 'Drop' slide.

Set in a beautiful 2,000 acre country estate and the entry fee also includes access to Bowood House, gardens and famous 'Capability' Brown landscape.

There is also a superb hotel on the same estate making Bowood an ideal family retreat during the open season (late March - early November).

We visited this summer as a stop off from the M4 with a family ageing from 3 to 75 and there was something for everyone. The youger ones enjoyed the farm animals, climbing apparatus and extra 'Olympic' events that were available to try when we visited, and the older ones enjoyed the house and gardens. Very nice open grounds it's... More

Visited here during the October half term. Not recommended for a rainy day. When we arrived there was ample parking and a nice cafe for a meeting point before and after visit. Maybe the gift shop should be held here too. The entrance and ticketing was easy to find. We were greeted by lovely staff and was given a scarecrow... More

I spent a couple of very pleasant couple of hours viewing the house and gardens and wandering lakeside and very often it was just me and the swans. The house is interesting and the grounds beautiful. Yes, there are great activities for children but they are all located nearer the entrance and some distance from the house, gardens and lake... More

Great fun. Boys loved the open space for a picnic. The large playground helped build their confidence at height and walk round the lake and house.

Had a great day out with the children, and there was enough in the adventure playground to keep them happy for several hours (except the space dive which was just a bit too daunting.) We brought a picnic and went for a walk in the beautiful grounds. This would be a lovely day out for people of all ages.

Visited today was a nice day all in all, lovely walk around the grounds and looked in the house which had some interesting things in. The play park is good but really only aimed at older children 6+ not a lot there for younger ones. The animal corner was rather disappointing hardly any animals few chickens ,rabbits, two goats, sheep,... More

Visited with grandchildren 7 & 9 and all had a great time on the large play park with amongst other play areas a pirate galleon, climbing wall aerial walk and high slides. There were smaller structures for younger or less adventurous children. Also as we were leaving a small farm area with chickens, sheep pigs and rabbits. It was an... More

We came here as a group of 12, children ranging from 3-8 years. Truly fabulous place, all the ages were catered for and they would of happily stayed longer, only left as it was closing time! The adventure playground was big and varied, and was supervised by staff. Our children loved it. There was a soft play area, but we... More

Had a family day out here today. Arrived at 1110 and beat most of the queues, despite the lovely weather it wasnt massively overcrowded and certainly the kids werent queuing long to go on any of the rides. I have to admit that I feared spending £36 on a family ticket but we have got home and have to kids... More
