Please note Bowood House is currently closed for the Winter Season and will re-open on March 25th, 2016.

Renowned as one of the biggest and best adventure playgrounds in the South of England. Huge slides, rope walks, a large pirate galleon plus swings, flying foxes and the famous 'Drop' slide.

Set in a beautiful 2,000 acre country estate and the entry fee also includes access to Bowood House, gardens and famous 'Capability' Brown landscape.

There is also a superb hotel on the same estate making Bowood an ideal family retreat during the open season (late March - early November).

Visited with grandchildren 7 & 9 and all had a great time on the large play park with amongst other play areas a pirate galleon, climbing wall aerial walk and high slides. There were smaller structures for younger or less adventurous children. Also as we were leaving a small farm area with chickens, sheep pigs and rabbits. It was an... More

We came here as a group of 12, children ranging from 3-8 years. Truly fabulous place, all the ages were catered for and they would of happily stayed longer, only left as it was closing time! The adventure playground was big and varied, and was supervised by staff. Our children loved it. There was a soft play area, but we... More

Had a family day out here today. Arrived at 1110 and beat most of the queues, despite the lovely weather it wasnt massively overcrowded and certainly the kids werent queuing long to go on any of the rides. I have to admit that I feared spending £36 on a family ticket but we have got home and have to kids... More

I booked our tickets online last night thinking it would allow us to bypass the queues. I have two children with special needs that cannot handle queues. We arrived and were told we had to queue despite having my printed out tickets in hand. So we queued...apologies to the people around us. At the ticket office, we got a receipt... More

Lovely spacious grounds, great adventure playground for children with "Go Active" doing activities for children with zorbing and archery to name a few. The restaurant was just an expensive buffet, expensive and poor selection. Mainly cheap vegetarian dishes. The cafe was better and more reasonably priced. Lovely staff, all smiling and helpful. Great the adventure playground is not now an... More

Visited on a Sunday with family with 11 year old and grandparents. Admission is a little steep for a family ticket -£36 but it is a great place to visit weather permitting. The adventure park is great fun, the grounds are very well maintained and staff are friendly. Advise taking a picnic and just buying drinks and ice creams there.... More

Visited with some friends. Grounds are lovely to walk around and nice to see some animals. Although we didn't have children, there is a lot for children to do in the adventure playground.

We've been here for two subsequent Saturdays and really enjoyed it both times. The Adventure Playground is huge, the surrounding areas are gorgeous and the whole place is beautiful and very well maintained. Not cheap but worth it. You can have a walk or let your kid play, have a picnic.

This is the only *bad* review I've left so far, I feel terrible but I left feeling ripped off so I had to warn others that may have smaller kids or 13/14 year olds! If you have 10 year olds they will love the adventure park! We went with two two year olds and a thirteen year old. The two... More
