One of the finest inland golf courses and rated on the Top 100 Golf Courses UK. Host to the first Rider Cup played in the British Isles. The course condition is excellent with rippling fairways crisscrossed by streams. The heather and gorse will punish any wayward shots. Fairway bunkers are strategically placed to catch your drives. Greens are true and... More

I played at an invitational at Moortown and wow what a treat. The clubhouse is excellent, with a large lounge overlooking the 18th green and a great panorama over the course. We started out with a brilliant full English breakfast which was very welcome as the course is long ! The course was in brilliant condition, the greens were superb... More

Cracking day at Moortown on Sunday. Made to feel most welcome and got lucky with the weather. All the staff were polite as were the members we met on the course. Food was excellent and the whole package was great value. Golf course was in great condition. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Great greens with well placed bunkers, but a small dislike is the snooty members ( committee ) that sit by the window & make you very uncomfortable !!

Definitely a challenging course with a good variety of holes. The tree removal programme has left the course looking a bit untidy in places. Catering was excellent and members very accommodating. This is a prestigious course with a price tag to match so it was disappointing to arrive and find out that the 'course work week' has occurred very recently... More

A great test of golf but suffering from some tree removals when we played which seems unecessary as the mature trees were a great feature of this course.

There going though some changes at the moment, and what we could see it will make the course even better. The own down side was that we could only play 16 holes. This was due to work they are doing. Greens fast for this time of year! Will be back, once the full course is open.

What a fabulous track that has kept all its MacKenzie magic without someone messing with it. Friendly clubhouse and good staff. Great experience.

We had a championship over this course consisting of a practice round then 36 holes, we were off the blues which made it 7,000+, the winning gross of +9 and handicap of +7 says it all, how the 1929 Ryder Cuppers got it round here with their equipment amazes me! Do not be fooled by the 1st an easy par... More
