We had booked a private tour of the Cathedral including visiting the Bell Tower followed by an afternoon tea and cakes with hand bell ringing as a finale.
We were greeted and shown around the Cathedral by the archivist who was able to lead us around the interior with a mix history and current use. Following the Tour we climbed the narrow winding steps to the ringing room where we were told about the history of the bells, shown how they are rung and offered the chance to 'have a go'.
Then it was off to a reception room for refreshments and a demonstration of hand bells along with another chance to participate. A great afternoon.

Visited here with a University friend. We enjoyed lighting a candle and sitting to reflect and say our prayers in this gorgeous, peaceful cathedral. It is well worth a visit if you are looking for some gorgeous architecture and a bit of quiet.

This is a lovely place, not gigantic and awe inspiring in the same way as something like York Minster but it is a lovely place to be and right in the centre of Leeds so it's really easy to pop in. They do lunchtime mass every weekday at 12.30 and watch out for the special events with the choirs. The parish does amazing work in nearby state schools with kids who wouldn't otherwise get the change to study music. Bonus points for having a priest who looks exactly like Elon Musk and does a good sermon.

Beautiful cathedral in the lovely city. It has gravitas and appeal and the aura is such this provides an environment where you can reflect and have solitude for thought. Nice place worth visiting.

Small Cathedral in the city centre, worth the 5 minutes walk to get here from Leeds Train Station. Nice architecture and good place for a quick visit.

This is a fabulous place to visit, whether you want to admire the fabulous architecture, the splendid high altar detail, the religious statues, or just want a little time out to sit and contemplate.
There are opportunities to buy a candle and light it for a loved one,or to stop and pray.

Located along Great George Street is Leeds Cathedral, one of the most beautiful buildings in Leeds.
Constructed between 1901 - 1904 from designs from architect John Henry Eastwood ,this Grade II Listed building is a fabulous looking church,my twin brother Stephen and I passed the church late evening so Leeds Cathedral was closed but I loved the exterior of this building, the beautiful tower, the sandstone facade, the beautiful arched windows, its spectacular to view ,my favourite view of Leeds Cathedral was Christ on the cross with two figures either side of the statue, its such a photogenic building, makes for some great photographic opportunities and is most definite well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate on Great George Street.

Neo-Gothic Catholic Cathedral built in the early twentieth century. It is not the most emblematic building in the city, but it is worth your visit.

The cathedral is set in very pleasant grounds which seems to be used well. That's nice to see. It is a nice quiet oasis in the centre of town and well worth a stop by to check out or take a little break.
