There's a good rake to the seating in the stalls, making for a good view, however watch your water bottles, as they will go rolling away towards the front! Balcony seating, on the other hand, is very cramped and very hot.

I love this theatre! A quaint, ornate old building. Been here a few times over the years, seems to have some of the better shows appearing here and reasonable prices. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is when we visited in august this year to see sister act, the theatre was so hot it was almost too much... More

I visit this theatre quite often and usually have the same seats. Yesterday I visited to see Sister Act, at the matinee performance. this is truly a beautiful Victorian theatre, well maintained. the staff are always courteous and extremely helpful, and I have got to know a few of them to exchange a few words with. My only criticism of... More

Took the wife to see Sister Act, what a fantastic show it was everyone up and clapping to the singing, really enjoyed it. The problem with the place is that there is no ventilation, no air con, basically no air the place was red hot, even the radiators were on!! and when you have 1,500 people jumping up and down... Went to see Sister Act last night (24/8/16) and it was fabulous darling, Alexandra Burke was truly amazing and her vocals on point, it was funny and upbeat, kept wanting to get up and join in with a dance, only downside was the heat, we were sat in the stalls and it's was extremely warm and sticky which made sitting... Went to see Alexandra Burke on the opening night of Sister Act (one of my favourite movies) and the whole thing was uncomfortable. Expected the seating to be like it was as it is a magnificent building but far to hot . The show was disappointing the cast worked their sox off but it just didn't happen ,gave a nodding... More

A relic of a bygone age, but in immaculate condition and my only criticism would be the lack of AC or ventilation. We were in the stalls and overheating by the end - the dress circle and balcony must have been unbearable. All of this was overshadowed by the spectacular performance of Sister Act, a hilarious and well performed version... More

Went to see the sold out Sister Act musical and whilst that was amazing the heat was quite unbearable. All you could see were members of the audience having to fan themselves because of the temperature. It was great to see a lift to the balcony level but perhaps staff could make sure people don't push others out of the... More

I visited Leeds Grand Theatre on Monday 22 August 2016 for the Opening night performance of Sister Act featuring Alexandra Burke. This is a new touring show and highly recommended. Alexandra is brilliant and is supported by a talented cast, all of whom are able to make an impact on the audience. Funny and musically excellent, I am sure it... More
