Modern yet old at the same time.

Another pub hidden up an alley of which there seem a few in Leeds. An old pub which has be revamped but in a good way and has got the decor and atmosphere right. I really... read more

It took us a while to find somewhere to have a quiet drink given the Rugby was on everywhere else, but what a lovely find. This quaint back street bar was very small but jam packed. We didn't eat but the food other people were having looked lovely. Friendly staff, good drinks, what more do you need. Most people would... More

Went for a drink on Saturday night in Feb. The place is packed luckily as it was freezing out side. Have a policy of not letting you sit near the open fire unless eating. Went on a previous occasion. In spite of ordering and booking well in advance and stating we were going to be on time still had to... More

Had a great time here. My friend and I were looking for a bar with a nice atmosphere for a Monday night drink and couldn't have found a better place. Brendan and Beth were really welcoming and the beer selection was awesome. Definitely coming again

Tried to get into the Whitelocks up the alley but way to busy so came in here. Ordered a couple of beers (my wife got a sampler to check she liked it). Service was really helpful and pleasant. Beers were really tasty and we both enjoyed what we had ! Worth looking out for - find Whitelocks which is sign... More

You can easily confused, Whitelocks was originally called the Turks Head and is on Turks Head Yard. The Turks Head describes a second bar of Whitelocks higher up the yard, which is more modern but same food etc.

I've been coming to Leeds for many years with my girlfriend, friends and family for many different occasions. We have always visited Whitelocks but this weekend we decided to do the Turk's Head instead. Wow! Everything about it was spot on. From walking in we were greeted (there was 6 of us) and allowed to browse the range of beers... More

Having been in a few weeks before and enjoyed homemade food, lovely fish n chips, beef n ale pie and beer, brought my girlfriends to start off our Christmas afternoon. Lively atmosphere, lovely gin delightfully presented. Had sandwiches this time, good fillings n thick chips. Stayed way longer than expected due to cosy atmosphere, friendly staff. Small, but didn't have... More
