About
Open 11.00 Last admission 16.00. Please wrap up warm if visiting in winter. Sorry - we don't have a cafe, as we are a small volunteer-managed museum. We are close to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and the separate Engine Shed Museum. You don't have to be a railway enthusiast to enjoy our museum! Over 60 television programmes and films have featured carriages from our museum. Sit inside the carriages and listen to the sound presentations. Watch the videos. See the differences between 1st, 2nd and 3rd class. Signs, posters and small exhibits.

Sensational museum of transport in Keighley. Well set up and really interesting. If you have a rover ticket on the KWVR Valley line it's free entry!

A hidden gem of an attraction. We spent time wandering round the exhibit and then chatted to the volunteers. They were a font of knowledge and anecdotes. We learned about how the carriages are used for films and TV. We found this museum in the book 'Northern Delights'. You could walk into the carriages and have a seat in the plush leather seats of first class, or the wooden benches of standard. Great fun.

A brilliant museum, with numerous exhibits, clearly labelled. A vast collection of carriage ephemera and memorabilia, all clearly explained with information boards and displayed. Thoroughly recommended to anyone with an interest in railway history.

Really interesting place, with some beautiful carriages. Took you back in time, and showed the real age of travelling in style. So glad we got to see this. Very helpful, friendly staff…who love dogs!!

The Vintage Carriage Museum is based at Ingrow West on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. Although it is on the railway it is separate from the railway. If you have a day rover ticket you can show this and get in free which is handy.

The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and was able to provide alot of information about the exhibits which was really helpful.

As well as alot of carriages which have been used in a variety of movies and tv shows there are also lots of displays including Underground and BR station signage.

This little museum is definitely worth checking out as part of your visit to the railway.

Fantastic little museum chock full of items of all kinds from a bygone era of rail travel. Sitting in carriages that are well over 120 years old. (The oldest was from 1878), one really gets a sense of history and what it would have been like to travel by train back then. The first class seats were the height of comfort!

Great way to spend an hour or so; lovely and informative staff AND the mugs are a bargain at £5 a pop so I bought two 👍

Not visited for a while but it's always fresh and most friendly. Warm welcome to young families and seniors alike. It's a smallish but interpretive museum containing a carefully conserved and well presented collection of many railway aspects and should be visited even when the Worth Valley is closed.
