We took my 2 boys ( aged 5 & 3) on the railway in Feb half term. We caught the train at around 10.30 from Keighley all the way up to Oxenhope, then a quick look around the museum in Oxenhope and back on the train down to Haworth. We got off in Haworth for a spot of lunch in... More

The journey was amazing reminding me of my time going on holiday on a steam train, it was so professional with the staff all on hand to help and advise and how smart they looked, and to see where the Railway Children was filmed. It was a great experience and not expensive.

This railway has been on screen in these 2 films (and more) so it was good to see where the filming took place. Excellent museums at Oxenhope. The chance to visit Haworth even if it is all uphill to the village from the station was well worth it although I can't imagine as many people were there in the Bronte's... More

Keighley and Worth valley railway is a 5 mile well preserved line; we recently visited during our stay in Yorkshire. Costs for adults £11 return trip , Travelled from Keighley to Oxenhope by Diesel as it was an early morning service, took about 25 minutes. We decided to take the Railway children’s walk from Oxenhope to Oakworth, unfortunately not well... More

We walked from Haworth station along the railway route to Keighley then caught the train back. The journey was very enjoyable as was the walk which took us to each station. The Oakworth station is like stepping back in time, I could imagine the Railway Children there. It had a lovely open roaring fire in the booking office which was... More

I visited the Ingrow museum on Friday and planned to ride the line at the weekend. The staff were very helpful friendly. On Sunday, the beautifully restored Big Jim (not seen it before) was hauling the steam service so parked at Haworth to do a round trip. Not they busy but still had a long wait for the buffet bar,... We came here en route back from a friends house so our son could watch some steam trains and boy was he excited! We paid 50p to get on the platform and got a cute little ticket. The staff were clearly passionate about their jobs / train enthusiasts and took time out to discuss trains. We are hoping to come... More

Brochure very informative, timetables accurate. We used the 'Rover' ticket you need to check if this is value for money for you ( includes access to 2 museums). Travelling on vintage steam and diesel trains was a great experience. The ability to alight at stations and visit enhances the overall experience.

We were on a day out using a £10 Northern Rail Rover ticket and we ended up in Keighley, sitting on an ajacent platform was the Keighley Worth train, almost ready to depart, we bought our tickets and we were off. The up train to Haworth was a deisel rail car, I would call it a bubble car, those in... More
