This is such an underrated place. Beautiful building, in a lovely Park, but the permanent art upstairs is ace and the temporary exhibitions always offer food for thought. A must visit in Bradford

Situated in the centre of Lister Park, this stunning gallery is great for a solo visit or with others. A solo adult can mix this with a long walk around the park, families with play areas, couples with romantic walks or a boat ride on the lake, weather permitting of course. The Hall itself has a number of galleries that... More

Another gallery/museum to tick off my visit list! Set in lovely parkland, the architecture is stunning, Civic pride at it's best! There are a number of galleries housing an intriguing collection of art works. The print gallery is interesting with banks of plan chests surrounded by framed prints of a good selection of familiar and not so familiar artists and... More

Plenty of additional activity laud out for kids to help with interpretation and to keep their interest. Met with a great member of staff called Simon who talked about his job and told us some exciting facts about... More

loads of paintings if that's your bag but not really for me--although the architecture and ground are great and it sits in the middle of a massive park.

This year we opted for the so-called staycation and it has taken me a while to catch up and write this review. I wanted to do so because Cartwright Hall is a rare thing and well done and deserves to be better known. It describes itself as " consist(ing) mainly of 19th and 20th century British art, with strong collections... More
