Monday evening visit
Dec 2019
Visited for meal with two friends on 30th December and found it pleasant enough but fairly average. Service was very good but menu is lack luster and very unaventurous. It was a quiet evening but I imagine they would struggle if busy. They are in a very competitive busines and certainly need to up the game.

Disgusting toilets...
Nov 2016 • Family
When you go to a pub for food there's nothing worse than finding the toilets in a disgusting mess. It makes you wonder if the staff are interested in cleanliness...what do the kitchens look like? Do the staff use them and then go and prepare food? Other reviews cover the quality of food etc. We will not be visiting again.

Great Carvery
Oct 2016 • Family
We visit this "eating/watering hole" when we visit family around the Chichester area.
Good Food / Ale.
Plenty of room
Service a little slow, possibly due to the size of our party, and other customers.
Definitely worth a visit.

Chichester eating
Jul 2016
Large dining area with good range of food.
We opted for the carvery which was very good, although not cheap by carvery standards.
Decent beer as well

I love this pub !!!! Had such a nice welcoming feel to it. It's how I remember pubs when I was growing up. The food we had at the bar was very nice too. I would definitely recommend it.

Slowest carvery ever!
Feb 2016 • Friends
The queue took 40 minutes by which time we were irritated and starving. If the chef spent less time chatting and more time cutting the meat the queue time could be halved. Food was good but standing in a queue for that long has put me off coming again. Either the meat should be pre cut, the chef cutting the meat be more efficient or have 2 chefs cutting meat.

Quick lunchtime pint.

Excellent real ale and a warm welcome. Rugby was on, but we easily found a quiet corner for a very pleasant hours shopping break. Lovely old traditional town pub building, with pristinely clean woodwork.

Great Carvery
Jan 2016 • Couples
We have been here countless times and regularly recommend it to friends and businesses. The carvery is fresh, delicious, piping hot and varied. A full menu is also available. Gary is a great host and his team do all they can to assist. Well worth a visit. Enjoy. We always do!
