    Luxury & Entertaining
We were gifted a Tinwood Sparkling Afternoon Tea for one of our wedding gifts. It was a luxury experience with tasty wine and food. Worth every penny! The tour taught us a lot & the host (the owner) was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. In our opinion, she made the experience wonderful. The champagne was delicious! We will definitely be returning with our family. Thank you again.

    Fantastic stay at Tinwood
I visited Tinwood with my two sisters and my mum. We did the wine tasting which was lead by Vlada. Vlada made the entire experience really interesting with all of her knowledge of the wines and tour of the grounds, it was really enjoyable. We stayed overnight in the cabins on-site and they are just wonderful. They are very luxurious and the beds are very comfortable so we all had a great nights sleep! The bath tubs with the jets were so heavenly and every touch has been thought out very well. The breakfast that arrived the following morning was delicious, it was all very fresh and lots of choice! Thank you for a beautiful stay at Tinwood, we will most definitely be returning!

    Wine, tasting and lodge accommodation
What a fantastic experience ! We stayed overnight in the Chardonnay Lodge and experienced the vineyard tour and wine tasting (I can certainly recommend the wines). The lodge was just beautiful and starting the day with a picnic breakfast, looking at the vines, was very special. We will certainly return. It’s a great location and a great base from which to tour the area. Thank you Vlada you did a super job!

    Satisfying visit in poor weather
Great to get to appreciate that sparkling wine doesn't need to come from abroad. Pleasant afternoon in spite of poor weather. Lovely welcoming team and talk accompanied by fizz and cheese platter. Recommended.

    Stunning
Honestly couldn’t fault this place. The settings, the vibe, the staff, the knowledge, the drinks, the cheeses - it was perfect. Wasps were a little annoying, but who would blame them for wanting to be involved. I’d defo return 💚

    Amazing Wine tasting afternoon
Visited here with a friend for her birthday and loved every minute of the wine tasting tour. From stepping through the door we were greeted in such a friendly manor and offered a glass of wine and shown to our table. Vlada was amazing at talking through the history and present day of the Tinwood estate. The wines are amazing and I would definitely recommend having the cheeseboard. Beautiful surroundings, so much so, I have booked to stay in one of the lodges in April

Lovely Champagne but the tour was rushed with a nasty attitude.

We came here as a family group and right from the start the guide said that they wanted us out of there within 90 mins. We then realised that they had actually brought forward the tour by 30mins without informing us!

The guide used language like “you can go for a tour if you really want…”. In the end we did not go out at all! There was a short presentation about how the wine is made and the features of the grapes and when my daughter asked some quite legitimate questions, the guide shut her down and bullied her into accepting a nonsense answer.

We then whisked down the cheese and some fiz and asked to purchase another couple of bottles but were told we could take it with us but we were not welcome to stay and consume.

A very poor attitude and not something that i would not want to repeat. The Tinwood champagne is nice to drink but the price is now quite a bit more than the big brands and I would rather buy a crate of Tattinger on discount from Majestic for £3 less a bottle or to go with the equivalent Nye Timber champagne grown almost next door.

Dear Bertyign, we are very surprised to read your review as we daily hear how friendly our tour guides are and we pride ourselves on the friendly vibe. We can confirm we have not in the last 14 years from our first ever day we opened started a tour earlier than advertised. Our daily tour is all year round at 15:00 we are open daily till 18:00 and after the 90 min tour guests are welcome to stay for an extra drinks this is also mentioned on the tour that 'we are open till 18:00 for extra drinks' We do hope you can come back in the future and have a better experience, and we are very happy to read you enjoyed the wines. Kind Regards Tinwood Team

Incredible afternoon wine tasting. Superb surroundings, absolutely gorgeous. Had so much fun with the family tasting the wine and have a stroll around. Jodie is completely fantastic - engaging, dynamic and so knowledgable. Moreover, the family feel is so endearing, the owners are delivering all the tasting and history and it has a really fun and family feel. Would highly recommend - don’t come to the Chichester area and not do this!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting and tour of Tinwood. We were warmly greeted and settled to our table. The sun was shining which made the modern outdoor seating area really lovely.

Jody (co-owner) gave us a welcoming chat and then gave the tour herself. An important touch that made us feel part of the programme. We grew in knowledge and understanding of the passion behind the sparkling-wine making process. The commitment to growing knowledge of better and more sustainable practices was explained, whilst being able to produce a product that is worthy of its price. We were educated about the wine we tasted and the cheeses to compliment. We left our regular lives behind to experience a love story of vines and a passion for what Jody and Art produce. They have captured the climate in England and the traditions of the Champagne process of making wine, using compatible vines to produce the best (not the easiest or the quickest) English sparkling wine.

We will tell everyone we know, to buy tour vouchers as gifts, and will return to eat from your restaurant and drink complimenting wines. We could very happily have stayed much longer than the three hours we were there (which flew by).

Thank you for sharing your passion, exhaling your journey from being lettuce farmers, and of course your delicious sparkling wines. A very memorable visit and we look forward to returning soon when your restaurant is fully open.

Okay, so it wasn't much of a tour but having done a few vineyard tours before, once you've seen one vineyard, you've probably seen lots.
The tasting session itself was heaps of fun. The young lady hosting the event was clear, knowledgeable and professional.

Fortunately, it was a lovely, warm & very sunny afternoon so we all sat outside. All necessary Covid precautions were in place. The tables were set out with empty bottles of the 3 sparkling wines to taste, glasses and a hefty cheeseboard - see piccie.

Samples were generous and we were taken through each wine in detail. It was easy to personally rank the wines and then nip to the desk to purchase some to take home.
Although we had to leave at the end of the 1.5 hour event, it was lovely to see lots of people stay on to "sample' the wines even further!

We would totally recommend joining one of these wine tastings.

My wife and I have just been to Tinwood vineyard and did the tour which was hosted by the owner who is the driving force behind the vineyard's success which was recognised recently in ani ternational wine tasting competition where Tinwood Blanc de Blanc won a gold medal for sparking wine and was one of only 2 which wasn't Champagne to be awarded Gold., their Brut git a Sil er medal. The tastings we had included some detail and information from the owner just before we tried all 3 of their sparkling wines, I strongly recommend you order the cheese platter it was well worth the money and included their homemade honey, this is a treat for anyone interested in sparkling wine.

My mum had treat us to a vineyard tour, wine tasting and afternoon tea for approx £100 which we were both really excited about.

The tour was brief, but still interesting. You get a glass of each of their three wines which were all really nice.

Sadly the afternoon tea was so disappointing. We had 2 large scones each that where rock had and to be honest felt a little stale, there was barely enough jam and cream for one scone, but we did mana get to get additional. There was then three small sandwiches each, the bread was dry with no butter and the fillings were pretty average. To finish off there was a selection of sickly sweet cakes and a ferrero rocher which did seem a little random. It was quite telling by the amount of cakes that were uneaten by the other guests.

So in summary I would recommend visiting for a wine tasting as the wines are great, but I really wouldn’t bother wasting money on the tea!

What a wonderful afternoon. I treated my sister for her birthday. She's in a wheelchair so I was a bit worried if a tour through a vineyard would be ideal but I needn't have worried. She was able to join in the short tour down to the vineyard and listen to the owner talk. He was excellent by the way and was so insightful. After the talk we sat and enjoyed the wine tasting and excellent cheese board . Again our host ( the owner ) talked you through the wines and just kept you throughly entertained. We sat and listened, enjoyed the wine and cheese and relaxed. Wonderful

We had the most amazing few days away at Tinwood. The first time in over a year that we have left our local area due to COVID. All staff made you feel very welcome and very friendly, nothing was ever too much.
The tour by the owner and wine tasting that followed was really interesting and informative.
We chose to have the cheese board with the wine tasting, was such a great idea, as the tour guide also spoke about which cheese goes best with which wine. It’s fair to say we had polished off the cheese board by the end of the wine tasting.
The sparking wine taste is fantastic, so much so after the wine tasting and tour we brought an bottle of our favourite to have at the estate and brought one bottle of each of the sparkling wine and two wine glasses to saver the flavours for when we got home and one to be given as a gift to my parents.
The lodge experience was amazing (words can’t describe how amazing it was) the lodges are in the most amazing location to where you look out onto the vineyard. The quality of the lodges over exceeded our expectations and really luxurious.
The breakfast hamper was all freshly cooked and delivered to the lodge door and all was very very yummy and clearly a lot of attention too detail and paring gone into it.
It’s clear that the owners have put a lot of through into every element of the experience.
I would recommend this for either a few hours for just the tour and tasting or and the night stay.
I would definitely go back again.

WOW!! This place is amazing 🤩 and a hidden gem in the West Sussex country side.
We nearly missed our tour due to traffic Goodwood Festival of Speed was on at time). So I phoned ahead and said we’d miss the tour, the lady was lovely and said please do try to still come along if you can make of for wine tasting and cheese and then the staff would give us a background to the vineyard after - what a lovely surprise, most would happily be like oh well and take our money.

The seating area is large, open, comfortable and modem, and our table was waiting for us on arrival.

Georgia was exceptional at giving the wine tasting brief - very knowledgeable and it was very interesting. The wines are excellent and paired with a lovely locally produced cheese board and Tinwood honey - we were very impressed. Georgias little brief to us afterwards was great as we learned a lot about the vineyards history.

Jade was the other lady who welcomed us on arrival after our delay and both these women were friendly, polite and very accommodating.

Even if you don’t want to go the tour you can just pop in for a glass of bubbly and some cheese etc if passing by.

They did mention weekends are busier due to hen parties but we went on a Wednesday and it was perfect, enough people to make it enjoyable and not over crowded.

We can’t comment on the lodges as we only booked tour and cheeses, however they look stunning!

We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tinwood for a vineyard tour as will definitely be back. Thank you for such a memorable visit.

Definitely a place to visit.

We booked onto the wine tasting and tour with the additional cheese board (which actually is definitely worth the little extra they charge for this).

We were impressed that it was actually one of the owners who undertook the tour which to us showed they are still very hands on and have pride in the business they have created.

The venue itself has been built to a very high standard and the staff were extremely friendly and worked fast to bring out the wine and cheese during the tasting session.

The owner described the 3 sparkling wines they make and the process involved in this very well.

We have been on a few wine tasting tours and this one is definitely up there as one of the best to visit.
