Come here all the time during all seasons. Very well maintained and thoughtfully arranged for all seasons. Plenty of benches dotted around to accommodate sun and shade. Dare I say H&S gone mad, again, when the pond was filled in. Or is it that like...More

We visited the gardens on a sunny spring morning; they are beautifully planted with spring flowers and shrubs. The gardens arevery peaceful and there are a number of places to sit and enjoy the birdsong.

A hidden gem in the heart of Chichester, I can't think of a better place to come for a picnic in the summer.

We found this hidden gem by accident and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere offering peace and quiet to rest during a visit to the cathedral or shopping. We visited in early spring so too cold to sit around but will return when...More

It was a pretty cold day with storm clouds on the horizon, but I can imagine it would be quite beautiful later in the year and on a sunnier day. It was very peaceful and absorbing to amble round and is best seen overall from...More

A lovely haven of a peaceful garden , between the Cathedral and the Chichester walls. The rope walk must be lovely in summer but for now the winter foliage and a few hellebores shone in the sunshine.

This is on my daily walk and I love it. It's a very well maintained and very beautiful garden. I go there daily to sit and look out over the garden to the Cathedral and read a book. You can picnic during the summer. There...More

I always think the sign of a well designed garden is one that is interesting in the winter when there is little colour about. This garden is a perfect example of this. Lovely and peaceful with some gorgeous plants. Worth a visit and free entry!

If you're busy shopping in Chichester and need a break the Gardens are a great escape. Even on a coolish, wintery day with all the leaves coming off the trees it was beautiful and peaceful.

Yes, go right to the end as though you're going into the Bishop's palace and there is an entrance on the left. It's also possible to enter via Avenue des Chartres, near the pedestrian crossing.
