Super Downs course
Dec 2019
A great downland golf course with beautiful views across to the Isle of Wight and Worthing. Well maintained and good natural drainage make this an ideal winter golf location.

Waste of a good walk.

Had been told some good things about this course but found it overrated and boring. Not likely to return and will certainly not recommend it.

Lovely golf course in West Sussex

This summer I became member for a day at the Dunes Course and now I have found a new favorite. The Dunes Course is a lovely golf course. Quite challenging and with a beautiful layout. Despite the dry summer the greens and the surrounding areas were in perfect condition. The fairway and rough a bit dry and I believe that during a more traditional english summer the grass is a bit harder to hit through. Very welcoming staff and a lovely clubhouse. I will return as soon as I can.

Twelve of us went with great expectations as the pictures looked stunning. Firstly, you can not fault the Hotel sleeping accommodation, 1st class and that service. Sadly that is where it ends. Played a wet, ill drained and ill thought out course 1st day. spoke to members on way off the course and were told it is the practice course !!. Then found out our stay meant we played it again the next day. We raised this issue and were told pay another £40 each (£600 total ) and we could play the main course next afternoon. So with all in dispute we went for dinner. Fish and chips !! with no choice !!. It was all very iffy all my friends were seriously disappointed and when the next morning they could not even provide a full English at breakfast as they were out of item i packed my bags and checked out. The other 11 sorted something regards the extra payment i believe. I was so unimpressed by my total waste of money i can only say hope you have better experience if you decide to go bases on the pretty course pictures.

Great downland golf experience

Goodwood Golf offers two contrasting courses but the Downs "old course" undoubtedly provides a stunning opportunity for all levels of golfer to enjoy a beautifully presented course with amazing views across to the Solent and the Isle of Wight.
