Lovely localpub
Jun 2021
Popped into The Kings Arms in Arundel for a much needed pint. Lovely old pub with lovely staff. (They even put on my favourite music!). We were half way through a 15 mile walk from Fontwell via Slindon, through Arundel and back to Fontwell via Walburton, so sadly we could only stay for one pint but we were delighted to have chosen the Kings Arms. We would not hesitate to recommend to any fellow weary travellers.

Great little place BUT
May 2021 • Couples
Have used the pub for years. One of the best pubs in town imo such a great atmosphere with the cobbled hill street and lights in the evenings. But post pandemic we have encountered a quite frankly rude elder bar maid who don's a 'jazzy muzzle' who has taken a dislike to people who dont wear one themselves and makes it quite clear in her attitude, shame really but it cant always be perfect I guess. Landlords are great in retrospect.!

A memory of the Kings Arms
May 2019
Many years ago a boyfriend and i were on a short break, we head to Arundel as i had always wanted to visit the Castle. After taking a drive around, we came across this little pub and my boyfriend asked if they did B&B, which they agreed to do. I have no idea if they actually offered this service as part of the pubs normal business, but we stayed for one night and the landlady was welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was large and substantial and the whole atmosphere back then was, warm and welcoming. I have never forgotten even though it was nearly 40 years ago, a very different time, but it has always stayed with me and to this day i can still remember the warmth and hospitality. i had to hit may 2019 for my visit as the time band only goes that far back.

Take Away Food
Feb 2020
We happened upon this pub after dinner but if we had not then we may have been tempted. You buy your drinks from the bar and they give you the take away menu from local restaurants. When the food is delivered the bar staff also give you the plates and cutlery; then take them away for washing up when you have finished! A novel way of having dinner with friends and family.

This place is a lovely unspoilt traditional pub with loads of character. Well kept ale on the pumps. They provide plates and cutlery if you order a takeaway to eat in or bring your own fayre. Lovely local atmosphere with lots of friendly faces! There are games to play if that takes your fancy.

You can bring in food with you they will provide plates cutlery and menus if you are visiting the area. The building is 16th Century so small but perfectly formed. Very friendly lady behind the bar there is seating inside and out the front too.

Proper pub
Sep 2018 • Friends
Arundel is not short of shabby chic, retro, faux industrial pubs and restaurants to wow the London types, who are down for the weekend. However, if you want a decent pint, in a proper pub which doesn't feel like an art exhibition, then this is the place. Great atmosphere, friendly service and you can even bring your own food!

Great little find, and I hope I get a chance to go back.

Proper Little Pub

A friendly free house with a small peaceful walled garden out back plus indoor and outdoor seating at front. A friendly welcome and some tasty cider as well as Invincible. Nice.

The friendliest genuinely local pub in Arundel
Jul 2018 • Couples
It's the pub the locals choose

A warm welcome from Charlie, Allison and staff

It doesn't sell food but they'll provide plates and cutlery if you bring your own, or get a takeaway from the Chines two doors away. Brilliant!
