PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL FOR A TOUR BOOKING Martin a retired Arundel postman and local from historic Arundel and partner Karen have developed a fascinating talk and tour. People living locally as well as Tourists, Language Schools, coach parties and day trippers have been introduced to the intriguing insight into the Roman and Victorian through to anecdotal facts and changes throughout the town. During the walk they make reference to photo books showing the town 100 years ago that makes the tour a must for history lovers and for people intrigued by local knowledge.

We went on a one hour walking tour with Martin who took us from the bottom to the top of the Arundel High Street, past the cathedral and down King's Street. Throughout the tour he pointed out features of the different old buildings which indicated their historic use, and he showed us old photos of the town to give us an idea of how it was during different time periods.
Martin's passion for his hometown was evident as he shared anecdotes of his own childhood in the town along with historical facts.
We would definitely recommend this good value tour to anyone who enjoys history, and wants to know more about Arundel.

Brilliant walking tour of Arundel today. For a town I felt I knew reasonably well there was so much I didn’t know or hadn’t spotted! Martin and his partner did an excellent job of sharing a wealth of interesting information and bringing it to life with stories and anecdotes. Would definitely recommend as a way of seeing more of this historic town than the castle!

My husband and I went on a 2 hour tour withMartin this evening and honestly it was an amazing experience. We were both so impressed by Martin's knowledge of the town. He had something to say about everything and had photos of how things used to look which made it really interesting. We would recommend that anyone who visits Arundel, but also locals who want to know more about places in their county, book on. We will definitely be back for another tour and will be recommending to those we know.

My partner and I went to Arundel for a weekend trip and Martin's walking tour was definitely a highlight! Martin graciously added us into his schedule on very short notice and took us an an interesting and unique tour of the city. It was fascinating to learn the town's history learn from a true local and Martin made the entire experience fun and engaging. We also bought his two books, "A Postman's View of Arundel" and "Arundel, The Dark Side" at a local bookshop we passed on the tour - which we highly recommend!

We had a tour of the old town with a mixed group of 50/70 year olds that lasted one and a half hours and it was very informative, yet amusing, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The two guides gave us the history of the town and buildings, as you would expect, but they interspersed this with their personal anecdotes as long time residents of the town. The guides had so much knowledge that they could have continued for many hours. Interestingly, the guide who was not speaking always looked to the safety of our group in the busy narrow streets.

This history tour was very informative and well presented by Martin, the tour guide. Walking through Arundel and finding out things that neither my friend and I knew about. Especially as my friend lives local to the area.
This was an inexpensive way to learn about the history and would recommend it anyone visiting the area.

Whether you’re an established local or a visitor this tour is a must.
A great mix of detail, humour and interesting local snippets! Martin tailors the tour to your physical ability and interests, as you meander through the town there are interesting elements of Arundel pointed out, which, having lived here twenty years, I’d never noticed!
The back story of any town is fascinating but Martin, with his childhood and working life references, brings the tour alive.
A real must do, but I wish we hadn’t left it so long to do.
Thank you both, you made a very blustery day a really memorable one.

Martin and Karen were the most excellent tour guides. Martin had such a vast knowledge of Arundel its history and excellent stories about individual buildings, streets, etc.
We were the only two on the tour on Monday, 25 July and to have such personal attention and information was truly appreciated.
Cannot recommend highly enough and hopefully will be doing some more tours with Martin and Karen in the future.
The small card pack at the end of the tour was almost much appreciated.

Hi Martin and Karen, we will visit with our senior mothers our aunt who lives in Arundel for years. So a party of five in total, all speaking or understanding the English language. Will there be a tour on November 17th or 18th? Still working on the program but would lover to book tickets for your tour. Especially to impress a local with your skills :-) Thanks in advance, Dorine (Netherlands)
