Like the last reviewer I too feel that I don't really need to write this review as this Lido is so popular and we've often struggled to get tickets! ... But we had the loveliest swim here. It was a cloudy day with some rain but we didn't mind as the water is so warm and the view of the castle from the water so special and to be in the pool altogether as a daily after all this time was magic and our littlest absolutely loved it.
Currently because of covid the pool is divided in to sections and you can pay for an hour swim with your family group. There are lots of lifeguards, changing rooms and there are clean toilets. You pay for parking outside which was reasonable. Afterwards we had a wander into beautiful Arundel. A lovely way to spend a day.

Today we came for a swim at the lido and we're remembering our lovely wedding celebtation from exactly a year ago today. What an amazing venue the marquee and field provided with the castle as a backdrop. We had great support from Nikkie and her team giving us ideas and hands on support before and during the party. We had food vans on the field and and a ceilidh band in the marquee and were free to bring our own alcohol. The marquee looked amazing with our bunting and decorations and we put fairy lights in the trees. It really is the best venue and all at a very reasonable price. We would recommend it to anyone. Thank you again Arundel Lido! Kath and Sue xxx

Really love a swim at the lido. Water much warmer than expected and well managed in terms of how many people allowed in pool at any one time and offering different lanes for speed of swimming. They even answered their phone (a rare thing these days) and offered helpful information.

I did a 'mermaid experience' with friends here in the summer which was loads of fun.

My only criticism would be the lifeguards who can be unnecessarily surly. I understand their priority is keeping people safe but there's no need to be rude. I got shouted at loudly by one because I climbed out of the pool rather than using the steps. Didn't know that was illegal, but you only have to mention it nicely and not embarrass someone by yelling at them across a crowded pool. Perhaps some customer service training wouldn't go amiss.

Overall, a great place I'm looking forward to going back to.

I cannot rate this Lido highly enough. The staff have gone out of their way to ensure the safety of their customers since it re opened in July. We have taken our grand daughter there for swimming lessons and for family swimming in a sectioned off area of the pool and the organisation has always been first class. The water is warm and clean and there cannot be a better backdrop to any Lido than having Arundel Castle in the background. It is closing shortly for the winter but we will most definatly be back next year. Well done to all concerned for keeping it open when other pools are shut.

I was really disappointed by our visit last week. The main pool was absolutely overrun with people (yes I know its the summer holidays) but it was at the point it was actually unsafe with children jumping in from the side with no regards to who was in the pool. We had virtually no space to move around and I just wanted to get out. I found the main pool full of floating black bits throughout too, the whole area looks very tired and in need of renovation. I would suggest counting in and out a maximum number into the pool for safety and enjoyment. Honestly don't know how the lifeguards can do their job with that many people in a pool splashing about, it'd be like Where's Wally trying find someone in trouble.

The lido is in a lovely spot with castle view. The car park is right outside. There are a good number of changing rooms, the pool is warm, there's a nice little playground, and plenty of green space for a picnic. So there was great potential for a lovely family morning out.

We went on a Wednesday morning to take my toddler swimming. The problem was the pool was overcrowded in the shallow end and we weren't allowed deeper than 1.2metres (where it was quieter) because of having a small child that can swim, but with assistance. It was impossible to swim as there was no space to move, too shallow to swim underwater safely, and not covid safe as you couldn't stay anywhere near 2 metres apart from others. Kids where diving into the pool very close to us. When I raised my concern with the life guards and wanted to move to a spot with more space I was told this wasn't allowed. I pointed out the fact we weren't able to keep 2m distance (as all their signs say we should be) and that we couldn't swim, and she had no helpful answer to this, and then as she turned away from me and towards where my husband was standing, she rolled her eyes at me. I therefore felt my legitimate concerns during a pandemic were not taken seriously and that this was also very rude.

So overall a disappointing visit. I would consider going back but only once covid is no longer a concern and my child is old enough to swim unassisted, so thst we can use the entire pool.

We loved it
Great afternoon with the kids and first time they didn’t ask for anything!
Nice changing rooms, clean toilets and plenty of grass space.

I will say you need to get up there early as otherwise if you want something to sit on nothing will be left.

Parking is the car park is £3 and again limited space so just plan your day.

In all honesty I shouldn’t be writing this review, as the Lido does not need publicity: it’s so popular that getting hold of tickets is difficult - which is not surprising as it is a lovely spot. Where else can you swim with such amazing views, in a beautiful warm pool? They opened early to alleviate lockdown, and it’s a huge success - every session is full, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The Bootcamp sessions are also good - outdoor circuits with a friendly bunch of fitness fans.
Can’t wait for the Fido event! 🐾

We’ve been here many times, I’ve just never written a review. A fabulous place! Pools and surrounding areas are lovely and clean, the pools are heated, there are plenty of lifeguards around. I like that you book sessions, don’t never feels too busy. There is a place to buy coffee and ice creams too. Toilets could do with updating, but that is the only change I would make. The back drop of the castle is lovely too.

An wonderful Lido.
Lovely water temperature in this heated pool.
Very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.
At present Covid measures are in place and you have you temperature taken and recorded.

I really enjoy my morning swim in the sunshine and open air.
