Great micro brewery

A great brewery with a great range of beers. Their DIPA and sour beers excellent and a couple of their stouts just as good. Loved the place

Great selection of freshly brewed beers

I came in here for a quick drink on a very busy FarGo village, and it was nice to be able to go up to the bar. A nice selection of caps beers are shown on the wall and the staff are really friendly. A drink does cost slightly more here, but you can taste the quality. Great place.

I feel completely safe going into this venue during the pandemic. The Track & Trace QR code is readily displayed, and the gentleman on the door ensures that all rules are explained fully before directing you to a table. All tables are well spaced and can be booked ahead (although we have been fortunate to have been given a table on each of our visits without having reserved them). the 'Round' app is easy to navigate, so drinks can be ordered and paid for online. Drinks are delivered quickly.
We had stopped drinking in here before the pandemic as the smell of fried food was overpowering and unpleasant. Now that the kitchen is closed, it is a much more pleasant environment.

On the beers - we missed the tap room!

Twisted Barrel was the first place we visited after lockdown restrictions started to ease and it is still one of the safest places we’ve been! Now onto the good stuff - the beers!! Our table had a variety (sours, saison, porters, IPA etc.) and we could not fault the taste, quality and variety on offer! 10/10, our favourite local brewery.

A nice selection of beers

I am glad this has opened again after lockdown and came to see how it was doing. Place was very full and I only managed to get a table with a time restriction on it. Everything is done via an app that you download and although the drinks are expensive they do have a lot of flavour. I decided to go for three 1/3 pints to have a good sample. All nice but I can’t remember what they were called!

Drink before concert

I had tickets for a gig at The Empire but was told that there would only be a DJ on until 9 so decided to come here for a decent drink. It seems that a lot of people had the same idea as it was filled with people of a certain age and emptied about quarter to 9. Great selection of beers and a nice atmosphere. Great place to have a go at something a bit different.

Awesome brewery
Dec 2019 • Friends
After following this brewery on Instagram, I was excited to visit, and when I walked in, it exceeded by high expectations. I was actually overwhelmed by all the beer offerings. Saisons, Sours, IPAs, Pale Ales,Pilsners...you name it and they have it. Didn’t have a bad beer.
The Gose was the best, Gose Town was the name.

The only shame is they were stingy with allowing you to taste the expensive imported beers, which in fairness would probably lose their margins. But otherwise a great experience.

Day out in Cov!

I've visited Fargo village before but early in the day so the brewery was closed. If you are a real ale lover this place is superb. A bit of a feel of a Bavarian bier keller but with 25 ales and ciders on tap plus bottled beers and spirits. I will definitely be back!

Wow, why has it taken so long
Sep 2019 • Solo
I have had my issues with FarGo village in the past and events have let me down but I feel I should love this independence driven place. I came to the Coffee Festival which I discovered was in one unit so got my chance to come here whilst it wasn’t busy (although even on a Saturday afternoon it wasn’t empty). Asked what they recommend, as the list has a lot on it, and was pointed to Lonely Soul (which is slightly ironic at the moment) which without a lie is one of the nicest beers I have tasted, so much so that I ate elsewhere, still not ready for full on veganism, but they served Twisted Barrel in a can, that I came back for another pint before heading home. This has quite quickly become my favourite ale house although I must try other things off the list.
