Careless and unhelpful staff, drinks watered down!
Jul 2021 • Couples
Probably the worst cinema I’ve ever been to!
Staff careless and unhelpful! Drinks watered down!

They have one side of the counter for ordering and another side of a counter for collecting. The gentleman on the till put my my order through wrong as I ordered the popcorn and drink deal, but only received drink. Even he was asking me what drink I want with my popcorn!!! When I asked where my popcorn was I got told I have to go back to the massive queue to order again!. No help from the staff whatsoever or trying making this right as this was their mistake.

Drinks tasted like fizzy water, literally no taste of coke at all, unfortunately we’ve noticed this when the movie already started….

Never again!

Xmas visit treat
Jan 2020
My family (wife and two young daughters) and I came to the cinema to watch Frozen 2 to use up some vouchers that we had received earlier in the year. For some reason they had closed the reception stall and only had the food kiosk open so all purchases including tickets were had to be purchased there.

Staff were pleasant enough and were relatively efficient. Once in the theatre the film was just starting (we were slightly late) but we managed to find our seats - which were right at the back off the hall, which meant we had to walk past everyone. However, the seats were comfy. Unfortuantely as we were at the back, there was a light shning right above, which was irritating. However, the film was good fun and sound quality was good.

Venue is ok, but they may need to look at how they are positioning themselves. In Leamington the cinema is very cheaply priced and comfort is OK, but the Coventry Showcase although is very expesive the seats are amazing. Therefore this cinema needs to review it's strategy.

May go again if a discount is offered.

grim and gloomy
Jan 2020
Visited here on a Friday afternoon ,,
Ticket desk abandoned , no staff to be found , so had to use the awful ticket machine , that just would not behave . Was on the point of giving up when it finally allowed me some tickets , but not at the seats I selected .
The whole experience not improved by how dark it was in there , a cinema darkened to see the screen I understand but this was the entrance area for crying out load . I could have done with a torch .
And grim? Did I mention the toilets. There is a form in the toilet saying when it was last inspected.
I think on this occasion the criteria used was “is it a sh*thole? “ TICK.

Manager really helped us out
Sep 2019 • Couples
Never been to odeon cinema here before. Came to see IT Chapter 2 on Saturday 7th September.

Noticed upon collecting tickets it refused them, I checked my booking and for some reason (no fault of mine, I promise I’m not completely useless) the date was the 6th and so thinking that was that and I was going to be forking out for more tickets, the manager James came over, did a couple of checks and was happy to let us in to watch the film as organised, Even premium seating from the original booking.

Good chap 👍🏼

Thankyou all so so much for today. I had forgot my phone with the tickets I had already purchased, also in my phone was my credit card.so had no money.
The fantastic staff saw how sad my young daughter was and allowed us in.
You really made my little girl's day.
Thankyou ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Just Awful.
Jun 2019 • Couples
Decided to go to the Odeon, as the other cinema was not showing the movie that we wanted to see. The counter staff at the snack bar were miserable. The guy checking the tickets was miserable. The "PREMIERE" (over priced at over £11) seats were worn and uncomfortable. Visited the gents and to say they were a disgrace is an understatement, they obviously hadn't been cleaned in hours (looked like days). One the movie had finished, took our waste to place in the bins, however they hadn't been emptied and there were piles of rubbish on top of the bins!!! What has happened!?!

Uncomfortable
May 2019 • Couples
Visited to see Aladdin - while easy to get to screen and pleasant clean building , with staff happy to help - the screen was extremely uncomfortable , the seats rock hard and awkward to sit in without slouching down the chair to avoid the headrest , the film just became awkward to watch ! But still an enjoyable film , just very uncomfortable and bring a coat or something to put behind your head if you plan on comfort

I am so disgusted. I buy my tickets for Death Day 2 and walk in. I then go to the toilet, to see feces rubbed all over the toilet door and urine all over the floor: i then get told to get out of the screening and told i looked underage but even though I’m 25. Had to go watch some other dead film. Even get in that screening to see feces on one of the seats.Shout out to you curly haired little dog feces and you poor little manager. Showcase till I die now. ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻

Nothing special really.

Over priced like all cinemas now but good deals on Groupon lol

Parking is a nightmare as can get caught up with the IKEA maniacs but handy for free parking as just use the self serve ticket authorisation on the main checkouts
