I've only recently started visiting Brandon Marsh and it's a great place to go and have a walk and sit in the hides. It's nice to just sit in the hides and watch nature in front of you. I'm on the lookout for Kingfishers but they have proved elusive so far!

This is a nature reserve with a number of bird hides. There is usually plenty to see. Dont forget your binoculars. We visited in the winter after quite a lot of rain and a few of the more remote paths were so flooded they were useable only with wellingtons. There is a decent cafe on site too

Hi, thanks for your review of Brandon Marsh, though I think you may have visited another local attraction. Here at Brandon Marsh nature reserve we don't have animals available to pet. The wildlife can be viewed from bird hides and as you explore the reserve. Thanks.

I have continued visiting Brandon Marsh regularly and still find the best place to view wildlife from my home near Leicester especially if like me you are alderly. Of recent years several new hides have been built. There is also a moloblity scooter for those who need it. At the end of your walk the Badger bar is extrememly good with a varied menu. There are also things for children to play with at the eating place and children can have lists to follow found the reserve. There is also the opportunity for parties of children to go and pond dip and visit the mouse maze.
