Lots of open space for the family to roam around and have some fun. Kids enjoyed the park too, been here a fair few times so will be back again I'm sure.

Although an official service has been called off I made my way to the memorial for 11 o’clock today to pay my respects and was surprised to hear a pipper and various forces laying wreaths and carrying flags. There were at least 200 people there which was nice and I always think a church type service is slightly ironic anyway. Very moving during the 2 minute silence.

This place is hughhh, split into three areas, plenty of car parking spaces lots of places to sit and enjoy the views plenty for all ages to do from kids park, foot golf , tennis to name s few. The memorial is clean and well kept, every tree has a small stone at its base with the name of a fallen hero on it. Sine beautiful artistic work outside the visitors centre , couple of lovely cafes and enough open spaces and wide paths for social distancing, can’t believe it’s in the middle of a Hugh city. A definite Gem in Coventry’s crown .

The great strength of this park is that it is so, so large, and there is tree cover around most of it. This means that when the sun is strong, you do not get overheated.
