I have to say I have attended several of the evenings' activities and thoroughly enjoyed it. they are not very often and you can either book onto them or walk-in. There are no children permitted and the activities are well thought through.

I have so many enjoyable times at the Herbert. The galleries are always interesting. I have had great evenings there. The events range through Dancing, Choirs, Drink & Draw, Poetry and so man more events. Amazingly the were almost all free.
The Herbert Art Gallery is in a pedestrianised area adjacent to modern buildings of Coventry University. Just across the square are the ruins of Coventry Cathedral and the newer Cathedral as well as some of the city’s medieval buildings.

I haven’t been to the Herbert for years and so it was nice to look at the Wildlife Photographer Of The Year and CASE exhibitions. They were very well staged and now I can’t wait to make a return visit and see more.
They have a wonderful gallery all about the history of Coventry especially the changing industry. This, together with the Transport Museum, makes you think Coventry is really proud of what it does. Why don't all towns have a gallery like that?
We had the chance to touch and feel and play some Victorian games and toys. How amazing that most of them are still around today in some shape or form. Talk about trendsetters!!
