City centre luxury holiday cottage
Nov 2021
Fantastically restored and furnished by Coventry Heritage Trust. Luxurious self catering right in the heart of the city, yet amazingly quiet (thanks to secondary glazing). Beautiful bedrooms with really comfy beds and gorgeous duvets.

Great architecture in the time

Buildings stand out against so many new. Well kept and preserved as so few remain. Small city allows you to see everything in a few hours

Once again, nearby
Feb 2020
Everything in Coventry is nearby as Diane & I discovered - just as well in foul weather! You could throw a stone from here to the cathedral(s).,wetherspoons and our hotel!

Interesting surviving buildings
May 2019 • Couples
These half timbered buildings overlook the ruins of the Medieval Priory and are just 1 minute walk from the Cathedral in the heart of the old city.

Heritage open weekend
Sep 2018 • Couples
We came here during the heritage open weekend when we had a chance to see inside and get a tour. The monks lived here back in the day and slowly when the church got dissolved it became various things. Nice to have a look inside with some of its original timbers and small stairways.

Heritage open weekend tour
Sep 2017 • Family
We went on a tour of the cottages as part of Heritage open weekend. I remember when one of them was used for the tourist information centre, but it was great to be able to look around the whole lot of the cottages. The staircases are narrow and steep, but they are steeped in history and our guide was very informative. There is even an old window that was left in place when the adjoining taller building was built. It was a very interesting place to look around.

A reminder of Coventry's hidden gems
Jun 2017 • Solo
You have to dig around for Coventry's heritage but it's worth doing so. Just a couple of minutes from the Cathedral is this fine example of medieval architecture. One of the few places to survive the blitz that destroyed the medieval cathedral and much of the town centre, it is now tastefully restored.
