Right in the centre of the city, this is a classic part of 'Cov culture'. Many people will be aware of the Lady Godiva story - if not Google it! Best time to visit is on the hour as you will see our wonderful clock go off, which overlooks the square.

Though the legend is probably not true, the statue is a tribute to Countess Godiva who was concerned and helped the local poor folk. She died around the time of the Norman conquest

The lady godiva statue is one of the staples of the city. She has been moved around the city centre over the years. Now located in Broadgate. Unfortunately every now and then she is used for graffitti but she is still one of the interesting parts of the town centre.
