A delicious assault on the eyes and nose!
Nov 2021 • Friends
We visited the Chocolate Quarter as part of a Mystery Picnic Experience. As we entered this beautiful shop we were greeted with little cups of hot chocolate and then samples of delicious chocolates. The passion of the owners shone through as they explained about the wonderful products. We can’t wait to go back for a chocolate making class!

Great Chocolate Shop with friendly staff
Sep 2021
We visited the Chocolate Quarter as part of the Mystery Picnic experience of the Jewellery Quarter. The thing that really struck me was how friendly the owners were and so welcoming. It is of course a chocolate lovers dream. The tastings were delicious and we left laden with chocolate and hot chocolate. The shop was welcoming, spacious and had a table outside - ideal to watch the world go by. I will be back to stock up on artisan gifts for relatives that also love chocolate. The prices were great and as well as being welcoming, the knowledge of the staff and their passion for all things chocolate shone through - thank you

Loved it
Jul 2021 • Family
We were so happy with the service we received from The Chocolate Quarter. We originally booked the truffle making master class to celebrate a special birthday but due to the pandemic, had to rearrange the class several times which the staff were brilliant about and very accommodating. It was worth the wait, the class was informative, fun and the staff were lovely. We would recommend this event to anyone.

extensive selection of handmade chocolates whatever your taste...
Dec 2020
Great chocolate choice, good selection of sized boxes to choose from for xmas and very helpful knowledgeable server. classic design of box which made it a great xmas gift - well received and now eaten, with high praise for taste and presentation. was told they offer chocolate making events - which sounds like it would be a fun activity when permitted. will certainly be back.

Truffle Making Experience
Oct 2020 • Couples
The Truffle Making experience was fantastic and completely worth the money for anyone who loves chocolate.

Everyone was so kind and polite to us during our experience and were so patient that we spent 3 hours in the store when the page estimates around 2. The COVID measures in place were great with hand sanitiser and check in QR code provided and all staff wearing visors and gloves to handle food. The staff were also able to cater to nut allergies and to provide alcohol free drinks on request.

I fully recommend the Truffle Experience, learning about where chocolate actually comes from and what higher quality chocolate tastes like. Hand piping, chocolate coating and decorating truffles was very fun which we took home in presentation boxes. To finish our day off we had a huge chocolate fondue set with their own liquid milk chocolate (which you have the option to choose from dark, milk or white) which is delicious and surprisingly not sickly.

We were treated with such kindness and welcoming during our entire stay and they made the whole day very special for the guest I brought for their birthday. The chocolate itself in the store is very high quality and tasting the Chocolate Quarter’s chocolate makes you realise how sugary and sickly other chocolate is.

I cannot fault any part of our experience or anything about any interaction with anyone in the shop.

Chocolate Heaven
Sep 2020
I visited on 5th September 2020 for a friends belated birthday treat, due to lockdown.

The precautions taken by the staff were second to none and we all felt entirely safe in the environment.

The chocolate experience was superb and we all enjoyed eating what we produced.

Will certainly book again.

The worst customer service experience
Apr 2020
I had a terrible customer service experience with The Chocolate Quarter in April/May 2020. My delivery had not arrived but they refused to give me a refund because the Royal Mail tracking page said it had been delivered. The tracking showed it had been delivered to the wrong person and in the wrong county!

Their solutions to the problem included asking me to contact the police - who I'm sure have bigger things to worry about. They tried to get me to contact Royal Mail and I had to point out to them that only the sender of the item can request a refund from Royal Mail. I also showed them on the Citizen Advice Bureau website that as a retailer it was their responsibility to ensure the items arrived. They still refused a refund or to resend the items.

After countless attempts to get a refund I contacted my bank. I showed them the email correspondence I had with The Chocolate Quarter and they did a chargeback. During the process The Chocolate Quarter tried to appeal the chargeback (despite being in the wrong), drawing out the process even more. Their appeal was refused by my bank/Mastercard.

This situation could have been handled so much better. I understand that mistakes happen but The Chocolate Quarter's handling of the issue was appalling. I don't expect to be treated with the lack of respect that came from Jay at The Chocolate Quarter. I had been a fan of their shop but I will no longer being shopping there or recommending them to friends.

Amazing chocolate quarter
Jan 2020 • Friends
For my friends 40th she decided we would all go on a chocolate making course. We all had the best time. Learnt a lot about the process that goes into it and where different chocolate comes from. We tasted a variety of different flavours of chocolate my favourite being strawberry balsamic wow amazing taste.
We all then made our very own chocolate bar by grinding the chocolate into a paste and adding the cocoa fats great for the bingo wings!!!
While the chocolate was setting we had a chocolate fondue with different fruits and marshmallows with prosecco and great and to a great experience.
Thank you to our wonderful teacher we all very much recommend.

Team Chocolate making
Jun 2019 • Business
Great couple of hours as part of a team day learning more about chocolate, tasting and chocolate making whilst enjoying a glass of Prosecco. Such lovely owners - really knowledgeable, very engaging and friendly - well tailored to the size of our group and time restrictions. Some amazing flavour combos, some I would normally of steered away from that really surprised me - came away with a box of 12 chocolates made by me! Worked really well for our group of 15 - definitely recommend it!
