My grandad wanted to take our family to see the Silver Factory after he had a tour last September, as his grandad made spoons in the Jewellery Quarter (under the surname Robathan) when the Evans factory was in business, and so they often worked together....More

What an interesting place. The excellent tour lasted well over an hour and a half and had us captivated the whole time. The tour takes you through all the processes that were involved in producing silver and silver plated ware and the warren of rooms...More

Had a guided tour as part of my father's Day treats - last year we went to The Coffin Works which is also well worth visiting. The silver works are a real time capsule having been left just as they were when the factory closed...More

This place is wonderful. A factory and house that is untouched since it closed, stuffed full of machinery, tools and ephemera. You can only visit on a pre booked guided tour of about 90 minutes, and even English Heritage members must pay, but do it....More

The tour lasts an hour and a half and cost £9. However, only small parties can be accommodated and must be pre-booked. The tour was informative and the guide knowledgeable. Utterly fascinating and worth every penny of the fee. Do not miss it

The first thing that our very knowledgeable and interesting guide told us was that according to the English Heritage site the tour took an hour - but it actually took longer than that (his words). This was not assisted by our group having to lag...More

We pre-booked our visit for Saturday 15 July with English Heritage and it was a real treat. We had a guided tour by a volunteer and she really brought it to life.
