I bought a 30 minute experience for my boyfriend as a gift as he loves all things aircraft! The instructor was wonderful, charismatic and patient. He conveyed a lot of detailed information in a really concise way which allowed us to get straight down to flying the sim.

Although I wasn't flying, I got to sit in the cockpit too, and the whole experience was incredibly immersive...I even felt myself tense slightly as we took off! In 30 minutes we did two flights, one from London Heathrow to City (take-off, crusing, and landing), and one that started from mid-air to land in Vienna.

My boyfriend had an excellent experience and we'd definitely do this again. We managed to get a Groupon voucher, so the whole experience was really good value for money.

this was brought for a birthday present, it was really good fun and learnt a lot in the short time I had. Instructor was great and had previous experience as a pilot. would recommend doing it if you have ever wanted to know what it is like to fly.

My wife and I visited today and we had a fantastic time. Our instructor did a brilliant job explaining the controls and walking us through the various stages of flight (as well as being a thoroughly pleasant chap). I would recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in aviation and I look forward to booking another 'flight.'

When I was a lad, I used to go flying with the ATC at The College of Air Training at Hamble most weekends in the summer. Additionally, we used to go flying from RAF bases at Easter camp and summer camp, mostly in Chipmunks. However, did do flights in Varsitys, Blackburn Beverley and DH Dragon Rapide. Some of the Chipmunk flights we were allowed to fly. Also did the Link Trainer and many times saw the crab fall off the table. Ten years ago for my 60th, our daughters bought me a flight at Coventry which happened by chance to be in a twin Commanche which I was allowed to fly for the hour we were up in the air. This trip to Birmingham Airport for the SoftekSim flight was again from one off our daughters and her partner and was really worth it. My first turbo prop and first all glass cockpit. Instruction was effective but the controls were sensitive, more than I thought. However, no one was more surprised than me to be able to take it and do what I was told especially the approach and land at Innsbruck between the mountains and with turbulence. Great morning out and thoroughly recommended. If you haven't ever done it before, now's your chance. Go for it.

Had a 90 minute session which I have to say simply flew by. (no pun intended) Stefano the pilot was absolutely superb and was so friendly, patient and of course knowledgeable. He even gave tips on how to handle the controls to make life a bit easier. Quite an experience steering with your feet and makes you realise how difficult the real thing must be. Trying to keep the plane on an even keel, maintain altitude and control the throttles was a challenge to say the least but great. Perhaps better not to say to much about landing, oh dear but I think Stefano stepped in to prevent me making a complete idiot of myself. To be fair the whole experience was simply fascinating although at times I felt like I needed two heads and four arms. So glad for the experience and Stefano was an absolute star. Give it a shot I am sure you won't regret it, I don't.

Overall a very enjoyable experience and the pilot was great! That said, I do feel that much more could be done to make the whole experience more than an enjoyable, but an excellent experience. I've set some of the improvements as follows (hope you don't mind). A receptionist (dressed as cabin crew. / light (in flight type) refereshments could be offered to guests. / aircraft type seating (particularly the type which would be found in the simulator aircaraft). / the simulator is in the wrong airport location, best placed nearer departures when visitors have more time whilst waiting for their flight, and will also allow non flying visitors access also. / credit /and debit card payment facilities for customer convenience and the safety of the captain - which should be paramount. / each participant should be given a certificate after the event and a log kept of visitors recording "flight time" which once accumulated (to an amount determined by you) gives a free or discount for the next visit. / a service level agreement could be considered with Birmingham Airport for non flying visitors to refund parking charges.
I do hope you find this feedback helpful, please do not hesitate to contact me if you want to discuss. Thanks.
