As cinemas used to be. Nice to be able to have a beer whilst watching a film. Decor lovely - plenty of seats, to chose from for the viewing we went too- they're pretty uncomfortable though tbh. Screen /sound all ok. A decent night out and a pleasant change from the multiplex places.

This little cinema is amazing. One of the best cinematic experiences I have ever had. There were a choice of seats, single sofas, double sofas and footstools and I found my seat incredibly comfortable. And at a much much more affordable rate than the big chain cinemas. It shows current films so is very relevant. I laughed away at Bridget... More

This is a little gem of a cinema. Nice and cosy and civilised. Alcohol served in proper glasses with Wittertainment Code of Conduct friendly snacks - pitta breads and nuts in a dish etc. Only problem is that the sofas especially are danged warm - this when the heating isn't on - in the winter it's unbearable. Well worth a... More

I love The Electric. I love the Art Deco feel and the fact that it is independent and that you can catch some good films here. The snacks are always great and don't make noise like the popcorn and sweet bags in other cinemas. Sweets are served in bowls. You can get booze here too which is a bonus. The... More

Having previously worked in and been an avid customer of the a Watershed cinema in Bristol, I tend to prefer a visiting a cinema with an independent edge and quirky details. The Electric has this in abundance. I love the old Art Deco styling, the comfortable sofas that can be booked out complete with text-waiter service, the crowd the place... More

This is a great cinema. Love that you can have sofa seats which includes service for food and drink during the film. Great staff and the magazine which they produce with film reviews/previews is excellent. Art deco feel, wonderful.

Voucher gift present so went for matinee film in sofa seats. Nice small venue, Art Deco feel. Did not order drinks or snacks but others did which didn't disrupt audience when served. Downside are toilets, very smelly and in need of total refurb. Would have rated visit higher but quality and lack of cleanliness in toilets was poor.
