Bar full of South africans for the rugby. Treat atmosphere. That's the only positive. 3 burgers and a bacon butty took an hour and a quarter. 75 minutes !!!! And then it wasn't as ordered. Wouldn't recommend I'm afraid. People were getting refunds on food orders that just didn't arrive.

Brilliant student pub with great deals!

This was my local whilst in first year at university and we just kept coming back, even now I've graduated! Especially to Quids on Fridays, just plan to get there a little earlier as there's sometimes a rush around 10pm at the bar - expected!
Great food, great drink, great atmosphere and perfect to stay till closing or before a night out in town only 10mins taxi drive away.
Thank you for the memories Hare of the Dog! :)

After being at university Hare of the dog was the place to be. There is always something going on and something to get involved in.

The staff were so friendly and I wasn't sure about a drink I wanted so they let me try it before hand!!

Food was lovely and very well priced.

Highly recommend any student or anyone else who wants a good meal and entertainment

Not a great pub!

Staff aren't friendly enough, Friday nights are too busy as there are enough people serving. The decor isn't great and neither is the food. Plus on match days unless you are a Villa fan planning on getting wasted or attacked id avoid this place.

You have to be pretty low on funds to dare an entrance here

This grimey crack den is nothing more than a hollow building with wooden tables nailed to its floor, which all for the record, have more ketchup and carlsberg on them than an unemployed single dad. A friday night there is so busy and colstraphobic its like being at a student protest. The gully dance floor has an odour of cider and casual encounters, and i have even had the pleasure of seeing urine on the floor there. The pub is so revolting, visitors and even non smokers would rather sit out side and bun a twenty deck than experience the lack of hygiene and hostility inside. allow this place for a laugh, peace
