Friendly staff, fairly priced Drinks, something to suit everyone’s tastes. Convenient location though first time customers might have trouble finding it!

Dreadful
Aug 2021
This may not be the most horrible pub I've ever been in, but it's comfortably in the worst ten.
It did, however, serve me the worst beer I have ever tasted - it very clearly off and was disgusting and completely undrinkable. I left it and wouldn't be surprised if they put it back in the barrel.

How can a pub that claims (on their website) "We have a range of 8 perfectly kept real ales." serve such muck?

I will never return, and I recommend that you also give it a wide berth.

Don’t let the damp smell deter you!

We dropped in here for a swift half whilst staying in Birmingham before the test match at Edgbaston. This place was close to the hotel and seemed to be a good choice for us real ale fans. First impressions weren’t great as there was a powerful stench of damp, but the barman welcomed us and we found a seat. It is testament to the warmth of the welcome and the choice of beers that it was 4 pints later that we dragged ourselves out.

Great real ale's.
Sep 2020 • Friends
My twin brother Stephen and I were pub and bar hopping around this part of town when we decided to drop into The Post Office Vaults Pub and what a fantastic pub this is.
This pub looks superb, you descend a set of stairs into the main drinking area, nice decor and furnishings, vintage beer advertising enamels adorning the walls and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub ,a really good pub to chill out in.
We were here on a Wednesday night, pub was fairly quiet ,we were greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands, we ordered a pale ale each ,these were served in excellent condition ,we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in.
My pale ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced pale ale, hints of caramel and a big hit of hops, very easy to drink, a real ale style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of.
As the pub was quiet the barman told us we had 40 minutes to finish our real ales which was fine with us as we were only staying for the one.
We both really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to here we had a great time.
The Post Office Vaults Pub is easy to locate along New Street.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Thursday, 11am till 11pm.
Friday & Saturday, 11am till Midnight.
Sunday, Midday till 11pm.
A great pub ,well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Worst pints I had in Brum
Sep 2020
Went here for the first time. First impression, dank sell of stale beer and wet tables.
Plus point - Had a great selection of Belgium bottle beers, just unfortunate I didn't go for them.
Had some draught ales with the people I was with, all tasted really bad, flat, stale with a lasting after taste. When we complained the barman said he needed to call the owner to see if he could refund us. This took over 15 mins. We just left the pints and went to another bar.
Never again, disgusting.

I am sure that it is an age thing but I have started to like the range of flavours that beer can have and this place has a load to choose from. I don’t really know what I am after so just choose one of the taps and get a pint of that, for four quid its not much of a big gamble. Can’t remember what I did have but it was really nice.
