About
Moseley is a fantastic part of Birmingham with its farmers and arts markets, but what makes it particularly special and unique is having at its centre, the Park and Pool. This historic park, with some 300 years of history, is run by a charitable trust. The Park was originally a major part of the gardens of the Moseley Hall estate which were designed by the famous landscape gardener Humphry Repton.

Hidden Gem

We came to Moseley Park and Pool as part of Birmingham Heritage Week 2020. Not normally open to the public, it is a lovely place with huge grassy areas, trees and a large pond with abundant wildlife - many different bird species, and large fish could be clearly seen in the pool.

..IN A GREEN AND PLEASANT LAND
Mar 2020
We have been members here for years, and regular 'Moseley folk festival' visitors.
Today I went to see what (if anything) has changed..!
The wet & damp couldn't deter my visit and I first spotted the new & better toilets which have been added..Very vital in a large park as this..!
A new building for 'YOGA' followers has been added..! Strange sight for me, but maybe popular for some folk.. The giant Rabbit addition made my visit & I recommend a visit or membership pass for all..!

Great for a walk

We visited Moseley Park and Pool for a walk on a Sunday afternoon, it was great to spend half an hour or so, beware it can get muddy.

Extremely Picturesque But Security Concenrs

As a local resident to have something like this on your doorsteps is truly special. It's therefore a shame to see it (at times) spoiled by members of the public who haven't paid to become a member.

Recently this has become an issue when I've visited and the previous sense of tranquillity, while still there, has subsided. Please review your safety procedures to ensure not just anyone can come in. A few times now people have been lurking at the gate waiting for someone to let them in/out with a fob. It just starts your visit off on the wrong foot and feels wrong that I'm paying a £45 a year fee whereas others aren't but are using the park, often for anti social behaviour. Would recommend sorting this before people stop renewing their yearly £45 subscription.

Lovely venue for Moseley folk festival
Sep 2019
This is the second year I've attended the festival and I've really enjoyed it. A beautiful setting and some fantastic people playing there. It's only very small but that's part of the charm. Can't wait to see who's playing next year.

Mostly jazz funk and soul - Burt Bacharach headline performer
Jul 2019
Amazed and delighted to see this genius perform at local park in July this year, he is incredible and such a huge talent, at 91, his warmth and charm made it such a special evening. Well done to Mostly jazz organisers for booking this fantastic musician with her eat singers and band also, doubt you will be able to better this for future events.

Tranquil and serene

I've always enjoyed visiting this park; admittedly at first because we lived in a flat in Moseley, without a garden, and this was the next best thing.

Even though we've recently moved to a house with a lovely garden, I can't ever see a time when I don't visit here. It's not overly done and pristine, but not wild either, and just chilling on one of the many benches watching the wildlife, is a good use of anyone's time in my book.

What a find.

This is a private park which is accessed using a fob which residents and I guess people living close by have. It is right in the centre of Moseley behind the shops but once you get in there you could be miles away in the countryside. It isn't very big but really is nice.

You should only bring special people here

I finally got round to buying a key to the park!

I came here with a VIP for a VIP meeting. Despite there not being a single peek of blue sky the day was bliss. The afternoon began with a quiet picnic on the hill overlooking the lake. We then spent approx 5 hours bench hopping, enjoying each angle of the lake and discussing important business.

A beautiful hidden gem of Birmingham

Beautiful park with plenty of seating. Enjoyed every minute of my walk. Plenty of wildlife etc. Took a load of photographs which I rarely do, but was loving the views.
The only disappointment, which spoiled a lovely day, was returning the key fob to Moseley Travel. We arrived at the shop at 3.32 to find a note stating that they'd be back at 3.45. Not a problem we thought.... A wander around the shops for a while. Got back at 3.50 but still not open. Still ok as people get held up. We waited until 4.20!! No apology, just an "it happens". So that's ok then? The vpark deserves MUCH better. Should this be in the wrong area, let me know and I'll remove it, but please let me know where it should go. Rant over.
