Has all the things you expect from a bowling alley, nice furnishings, good kids food, small bar.
It is a good treat for all the family. I would give 5 stars but staff can be a bit rude at times which detracted from our enjoyment.

Went in School holidays in August cost family of four £20. Returned again in October and it had gone up to £25. Although enjoyable time was had that is a large increase.

Aesthetically the Acocks Green bowl will only appeal to fans of brutalist architecture. It looks and feels so bleak if you didn't know what the building was for you'd assume it was a mansion of torture where nobody foolish enough to enter would ever come out alive. And the interior décor is not much better as it looks as if it hasn't been updated since the winter of discontent. Yet underneath this sheen of miserablism this is really a great place to go, especially the laser quest. The kids, unbothered by the architectural aesthetics, absolutely loved it when we went, and that indisputably is the main thing.
It is an especially great place to hold a kids party.
Don't be put off by the overall feeling of delipidation, this is a venue that is definitely worth a visit.

Booked a party of 8 at laser quest, spent £100 on a party, to be issued with a £100 “unauthorised entry” notice, although I was on site. Asked a member of staff about the parking to be told parking was free no question of my registration or groups registration, but one fine issued to myself. Poor support from staff upon complaint to be be told they don't intervene with disputes. And being the only member of the party having received a fine, 3 other drivers got nothing, I was told they must have registered?. When i can prove they did not, POOR ANPR. Signage is also poor and not lit up or placed very well and didn’t see any signs within laser quest also. I wouldn’t book with you again and neither will family or friends. Making money on your genuine customers who can prove they was on site to fund your “free parking system” appalling. Avoid!

Car parking charge is a disgrace!!!! Have been charged £100 for not entering my car registration i spoke to 3 people at the bowling alley, entering, paying and getting the shoes and not one person asked me if i have entered my car registration. A 40 minute bowling game has now cost me £100, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you want to make money out of people enter a ticket meter least people would see that when they pulled into the car park. I will never go again and advise all my family members to stay away. Just a word or warning i tried to appeal and it was rejected so pay the £60 when you can.

Parked in the car park a couple of weeks ago. Have visited lots of times before but they now (apparently since Christmas) have an ANPR car parking company taking photos of cars on their way in and out. It was dark and I didn't see any signs. Staff didn't mention the car parking fines. Parking would have been free if I had let them know my reg number but instead I got a £100 fine through the post a week later!!! Called the bowling alley, they said it's nothing to do with them. Staff wouldn't tell me their name, wouldn't tell me who the chief executive is or how to get in touch. Said they don't have to give me that information. Parking company not interested, obviously. £100 fine for giving them business? No thanks.

Wtch out parking is a rip off.No mention on website that drop off is only limited to 15 mins.Manager Andy Edgington is as useful as a chocolate firegaurd.
Better places elsewhere tight car park poorly signed up to rip u off.
Car park is supplementing the poor deliperdated building and bone idle rude staff.

I was until now a regular bowler at acocks green. I would meet up on Saturdays with a regular group of 6 - 10 friends we would use three cars and park on the advertised free car park. The alley recently introduced anpr in the free car park. All we had to do was register on the machine by the bar which we did. Today when I arrived home I was greeted with a fine for £100 for parking in a free car park as a paying customer. The bowling management don’t want to help, obviously getting a good percentage back from their Free car park. I’m not contesting being parked there on the times and date, as it was me that gave them the times when I entered my registration on the thieving machine. But as a regular paying customer I would have thought that the management would have have been a bit more helpful. Especially as the manager always comes over and chats with my group. 3x cars at £100 it’s not economical to continue to travel here anymore. Hopefully other people will also stop going there.

This was the very 1st birthday party my son has attended in the last 18 months. As an extra 'surprise', we were handed a parking charge of £100! Having been here several times, I did not notice the sign and have never been bothered. Nobody is interested in helping...Disgraceful! Not again...

Nice bowling alley. Staff and equipment good and served a lovely pint of pale ale to boot.
Car park quite tight but we squeezed in a space. Make sure to enter your reg on the screen inside the building.
