    Range of shops.
Bullring is a really decent shopping centre. Variety of clothing shops, cafes, geral stores etc. Surrounded by restaurants. However has a problem with obnoxious, rude or downright offense street preachers. Also plenty of people trying to sell you things in the street.

    Great emporium
Impressively one of the largest centres in the country, it has copiously something for almost everyone. Multitudes of retail are here for browsing within and buying from. A fine selection of eateries open their doors. Some outside taking advantage of the grand pleasant weather.

    Shopping Mecca
For a long time the centre of Birmingham was an eyesore and over recent years it has been revitalised. As a result we have the new and improved Bullring shopping centre which has three levels of shops for you to enjoy. It is linked to Grand Central which is above Birmingham New Street railway station and has lots of places to eat depending on what your taste palate is. There are also places to sit and have a drink, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. It's a great area to spend some time shopping and having something to eat afterwards.

    A struggling Birmingham
We had an enjoyable day out, however, I can't help but realise that Birmingham is really struggling to survive, like any city/town in our country. The restaurants and coffee shops were plentiful and where we visited were good, however, there just isn't enough big shops to visit. And going into the House of Fraser was like visiting a relation to say goodbye for the last time. Also, the number of homeless on the streets was very upsetting. The results of a recession and online shopping are starting to show more than ever.

    The Bull Ring 2023
Wow the last time I was here The Bull Ring was a glorified indoor market in the 80’s. Today it’s a upmarket mall that is among the best in Europe and Nirth America, I was amazed. Birmingham has changed for the better.

    Shiny and roaring
I am not a shopping fan so I didn´t spend too much time indoor but enjoyed walking around, watching the busy life and admiring shiny modern buildings and the tower of St. Martin´s church just next to them. The place is light, spacy and clean. It can be very busy in the rush hours but I never felt it overcrowded.

As someone who lives out of the area (South Coast of England) I was always of the impression that the Bullring was a huge shopping centre, with a vast array of shops

HOW WRONG WAS I

Literally, do not recommend anyone make the trek here if you live out of area. Utter waste of time. The shopping centre is small with small shops but huge queues. The selection of shops was pretty basic too.

3hrs drive for the most disappointing shopping trip of my life!

Stick to Bridgewater or London

(Or even Southampton, least thats round the corner lol)

Went into Birmingham centre in the hope of finding wedding outfits .... very disappointed with the shops available.
No Debenhams or John Lewis now and the House of Fraser was like a rag market without any heating on and half the lights off. Selfridges has very limited high end high street brands, they seem to have gone very top end with over priced clothing.
The Bull ring has a good Next, Ted Baker, Zara & a couple of other shops but there was no Coast, Phase Eight and similar which are most peoples first stop shops for a wedding. We couldn't find one place that sold hats or fascinators. Not ideal to order these kind of items online.
It was very sad to see the demise of what should be a World class shopping area. People have no alternative but to shop online which isn't ideal in some circumstances such as trying to put a wedding outfit together.
Handful of really good restaurants towards the Temple Row area but everywhere else, particularly in Grand Central the majority are chain restaurants which are run down with dirty facilities.
The traffic getting into the centre was really bad but that can be put down to HS2 so hopefully that will improve.
The City Council should do everything it can to maintain the presence of the large Dept stores.
On another note, the number of homeless people wandering about is seriously concerning and quite upsetting to see in modern day Birmingham!

Whilst visiting the area we travelled into Birmingham City (using the park and ride glad we did) as the new tram extension and HS2 were under construction causing road closures, etc. Very bustling City, lots of eateries, shopping arcades and shops. Something for everyone. Well worth a visit. Many new buildings under construction to upgrade the City's profile.

So I'm a resident of Birmingham, and I have to get trains more or less every day of the week.
There is this particular part of Brum that provides an elevator and a set of stairs up to allow me passage from the fish market up to the station and an entrance to the bullring.
Often other tourists/drunks/homeless/people by the weekend have dropped rubbish or pissed all up this walkway and it is horrible to walk through when it's like this.
Naturally when it's been cleaned it's so much more pleasant to walk through, and I really appreciate the effort of the cleaners who make it so much nicer.
I noticed one lad repeatedly there cleaning it, Sundays or Mondays, and his name was Franklin. He thanked me when I told him I appreciated his cleaning and told me that if I wrote a review then it may potentially help him out in some way (our meeting was brief so I didn't really get the details of how). In short, I just hope this helps out in some way, Franklin is a gem and I really am thankful that he is around to restore Birmingham walkways after the weekend madness they endure.

As Bullring is a big part of the city centre of Birmingham, you would not have seen Birmingham if you have not seen Bullring. I was a little surprised reading the negative comments here but there are mostly true. Still, as a first time visitor to Bullring, I find it a pleasant and interesting place. It is anchored by the St Martin Church at the bottom. The shopping centres are ok but I did not buy anything. I find the markets (both outdoor and indoor) below very interesting. Had a meal in one of the many restaurants there.

Called into the Bullring there where plenty of shops to suite everybody's taste. Called into O'Donnell's shop and tried a couple of the Moonshine's that were on sale.

With it being the Bank Holiday weekend there were performances in the centre and around the centre

Britannia, Birmingham Grand Central Car Park - be aware Most evening there are gangs of youths loitering around of an evening, but last night must be the worst. They had set off all the fire extinguishers in the lifts, stairwell, and lift lobbies. One lift was broken the second lift me and other passengers got in 3 of the gang was in the lift but as I was with my husband and other passengers felt OK. However somehow the gang had managed to interrupt the lift and it stop a few times mid floors it was quite scary and like something out of a film. When we got to the 3rd floor we managed to get out. We walked the rest of the floor to 9. As they had set the fire extinguisher off you could see or breath properly. On the way out of the car park I spoke to two of the security guards to let them know what had happen, but I have no faith that anything was or would be done.

We went for a restaurant in the night and came out of Bull ring around or after 9pm. Entrance to goto Parking was closed and when checked with security asked us to go by Lift which left us at street level. Another entrance to parking at ground level was also closed. Then we spent going round and round that place without knowing how to go inside the parking place. Finally seeing some of them, we got into middle of road and used car entrance to get into the car park. All entrance to parking machines for payment is closed. We then luckily identified that we could pay for exit at exit point at the barrier. We could see many are confused going in and around that place. This is not the way to maintain a busy, prominent place and its parking. Hope the authorities fix this.

One of my favourite places to hang out with friends and grab some food. A great shopping centre close to where my home town is. The Covid has put all the restrictions like distancing, face mask, etc- not good.

Went in today to meet family. Half the toilets were out of order and in a state of poor cleanliness. Some escalators not working. Payment machines not accepting contactless and machines not on all floors. The logistics were really poor. Great for shopping if you don't need to use any of the above. I won't come again - much better places.
