Brilliant monument standing proud with sadly lots of names who have given their lives for the freedom of others. We must never forget

Guide to Boer War soldiers commemorated ?
I and all my family came from Birmingham. The Memorial is of interest because it has my family name on it (Private C. W. Seaton). It would be good if the 500 names on the memorial could be researched and catalogued in a guide that could perhaps be sold in the nearby MAC Centre bookshop in Cannon Hill Park. I would certainly have bought several copies if one had existed.

I daresay the information exists in some Boer War register (I propose to seek it out) but it would be much more convenient for it to be provided on site.
