Went to see an Audience with Lucy Worsley , great venue with very comfy seats , we sat in the very back row with a good view of the stage . Light and airy venue with good facilities and friendly staff.
Parked 4 minutes walk away and enjoyed the evening atmosphere in the square.

Even though its name may lead to assuming that it is a local administration building, not so. In fact a major performance venue resides here.
Opening in 1834 it is a superb Corinthian Temple style. Fifteen columns adorn the long side while 8 reside on the west to east side. An outstanding edifice on high.

We visited to see Lindisfarne perform. The group were great and they seemed to be well-supported by the venue. However the bars were woefully inadequate to serve the audience (even though the venue was only about half full.) The staff on duty seemed to be working efficiently but provision was simply inadequate. Also, we wanted ice creams but they didnt seem to be available

The Town Hall in Birmingham City Centre is a grand affair. The building does not look like a traditional city hall, instead it reminds me of a temple.
Located in Victoria Square and close to Chamberlain Square it is not too far from the library, conference centre and symphony hall. The shopping area and Gas Street basin are also not too far away.

I am visiting and staying in Birmingham for two weeks. All my tourist experiences have been positive so far, except for visiting the Town Hall yesterday. It was a bitter and very disappointing experience!
I was literally kicked out after only crossing the main entrance, by an extremely unfriendly lady that seemed to be a bouncer on the site.
I tried to speak, ask what it was and if it was not today when the town hall could be visited, but she didn’t let me and pushed me back to the main door. She responded. “This is just for families”
I slowly responded. “I am sorry I am not a family”.
I would have liked to put a direct complaint to this employee whose attitude is far from welcoming and professional.
It was hurting!”

Have visited Birmingham Town Hall on a few occasions now, each time to attend a gig. We have sat in various locations in the auditorium and have always had a great view and good sound. The bar areas are good as well. We will look forward to another visit.

This is a Gr8 place to see shows,I went to see Beth Nielson Chapman recently. It's been refurbished a while ago and is very comfortable, there is a bar downstairs where you can buy any drinks you want to.The Pina Colada's are a touch expensive. At only about 7 minutes from New Street Station it's well positioned and now with the Christmas German Market next to it,It's the perfect time to visit, specially if you are a little hungry and fancy one of their huge German Bratwurst sausages in a long bun. There is a Gregg's just a few yards away if you want something else.

Went to see The Robert Cray Band on a Wednesday evening. The venue has good access and is a short walk from New Street Station. The staff were very helpful, toilets were in good condition and the bar had a nice ambiance with a good selection of drinks. I sat in the right circle, seating itself was comfortable and the view from my seat was excellent. Great venue.

What a wonderful piece of architecture! Abslutely stunning. Unless you have a good walk around Birmingham, you miss buildings such as this. Some of the inneer city architectues is simply magnificent. And don't forget, Birmingham has more canals than Venice!

Came here, with some pals, to watch Troy Hawke. It’s a good venue. As it’s, relatively, small you are never that far from the stage. The service, in the upstairs bar, was brisk. But the drinks were pretty warm. Overall - a good venue

Are the front row circle seats cramped or is there a bit of leg room

Did this relate to a special event outside?!

Not 100% sure of the closest car Park to the town hall, but there are a few nearby, but you would have to take into consideration the cost of parking and the clean air tax, about ÂŁ8

Any recommendations of where to sit. No seats left in first few rows in stalls or circle. Thanks
Written August 24, 2018
The upstairs has a fantastic view whatever the row you sit in as it is on a slope so I don’t think that matters. I think it’s more flat downstairs. Hope that helps
Written August 24, 2018
If you sit front row stalls, do yo have to look up? Would you be able to see clearly? Or is the stage high so that you're peering up all night? I'm 3ft8 - just wondering where best to sit to see a show.
Written August 13, 2018
The stage is a raised one. Perhaps a seat booster may help, but It might be best to go for a front centre circle seat.

Are the front row stall seats a lot lower down than the stage, meaning then you would have to sit with your neck back throughout,? If so which row be best seats?
Thankyou
Written December 11, 2017
Yes you are looking up but not uncomfortably.

I am planning a visit with a 2 year old, do I need to book a separate seat for them or can they sit on an adults lap?
Written December 20, 2016
Sorry I have no idea. Why don't you give them a ring

May I enquiry if any one else has posted about the behaviour at the Nathan Carter concert, it would be nice to receive a reply from venue regarding the incident.
