    Wow!
Stayed in a travelodge nearby to see a show. What a great place, just by the library and canal. Beautiful modern building. Lots of theatre rooms. Comfortable and could see all the stage. Go out the back exit to see the canal. Pretty area.

    Worth a visit
Being in the exhibition industry, I used to do a great deal of work at the ICC. Thought I would visit after having not been there in 20 years. It is a nice, functional building and there is now the addition of places to eat and drink as well as an interesting little art gallery. From the rear entrance one can gain access to the canal area.

    Marvellous modernity
It’s an impressive modern build in the centre of the great city. It was opened in 1991. Walking through it leads from Centenary Square to the delightful canal area. All the architectural features are plainly to see, including the walkways on high and of course copious metal and glass.

One of the best if not the best in in the UK. Even at the back you still feel close to the performance, and the sound is very good in all areas. As in many public buildings it is let down by the 'Jobsworths' that work in them and are socially inept at dealing with the public. No toilets functioning on level 4 so huge queues elsewhere, and barely enough time to get served with drinks at the interval unless you leave your seat early. There again why would you want to drink the rubbish that is served anyway at extortionate prices. My tip is drink and eat well before going in.

The building is a large convention centre with many halls and meeting rooms. It is clean and modern, with good facilities.

Unfortunately the layout of the building is very confusing and badly designed. There are eight or nine levels but almost no lifts and you reach every hall by a different staircase. There are almost no loos.

You cannot find your way around. The signs are small and many halls are not signed. The staff are happy to tell you that you are in the wrong place, but too busy to tell you how to get to the right place. Many of the staff do not really speak adequate English.

Very frustrating. Avoid if possible.

Attended a two day conference last week at the ICC. Wanted to publicly thank the staff who were (without exception) helpful, friendly and accommodating. A real pleasure to have the conference in such a well-run facility with excellent amenities. Thank you to everyone involved.

We attended the ICC of the National Care Awards Ceremony in March. The event was catering for well over one thousand people! Despite this the service was excellent as was the food. I would recommend anybody wishing to put on a big event to seriously consider using this venue.

This congress centre is so perfect for attendees who has only short times to explore the city because this congress centre located right at the city centre. You can easily stroll to the city centre roads which has lots of stores, or walking around the canal with a high array of restaurants, or having a canal cruise which starts just in front of the congress door.

The annual Festival of Code was held at The International Convention Centre in Birmingham. 1000 young techys - Took over the ICC!! The staff were fabulous, kind, friendly and accommodating. The venue was spotlessly clean and every whim was catered for!! Whilst there we also had a chance to visit the Art Gallery, which held a fabulously curated summer exhibition. A thoroughly enjoyable weekend.....Thank you!

The food looked great, which was amazing considering they were serving 1400 people! The extra touches of confetti being dumped onto the attendees, the PA was good and easy to follow even for someone with hearing loss. Dance floor complete with band at the end of the night - cocktail bar on he concourse worked a treat- an excellent venue for a ball.
