Pre lockdown2 visit to the Van Gough live event which was fantastic. Well put together with music and quotes from Van Gough accompanying images of the paintings. Felt very safe and all the staff were extremely friendly and approachable. Hope it is back soon. Great way to escape from everything going on at the minute!…

We went to the Van Gough Exhibition at The Hippodrome. Brilliant! Really well done and superbly organised. You have to book a slot online and wear a mask. I cannot recommend the venue and exhibition too highly.

Went to the Van Gogh Alive Exhibition and was very pleasantly surprised. Really interesting - a lovely way to spend a few hours, even though the main exhibition is about 40 mins long - we watched it twice as we enjoyed it so much. Visuals set to stirring classical music. Really lovely and so glad the Hippodrome is being used at the moment. Avoid the cafe in the Hippodrome though. Tea in cardboard cups (probably some excuse about COVID meaning they can’t use their dishwasher or something...), cheap and nasty toasties and dry cake.....…

I had a great visit to Van Gogh Alive today at Birmingham Hippodrome. The atmosphere and music really added to the experience, it was great to see inside the theatre again but i felt slightly sad not to see her in all of her glory like in previous visits post covid. Staff very professional and courteous especially in the cafe. Slightly confusing in the cafe with the ordering system and having to press cash but I know that's not the fault of the theatre.…
