My wife and I saw - A Wayne In A Manger - on Sat 14th Jan 2017 at the Crescent Theatre by Stage 2 youngsters 7-17yrs . Before the performance we had been told that the doors to the theatre would be open at 1.45pm so we went downstairs just before 1.45pm - we weren't let in until 1.50pm -... More

Set on Brindley Place the entertainment and eateries heart of Birmingham is this little gem of a theatre. You may be forgiven for thinking this is going to be AM DRAM when you enter compared to its near neighbours The Rep, Symphony Hall and the NIA as it is so small, I would guess around 300 seats. I am told... More

Our first visit to this hidden gem of a theatre. We took one of our teenage sons to see A Christmas Carol. Wonderful performance in an intimate setting. Stage set and effects were fantastic, cast brilliant and it didn't break the bank either. The theatre staff were really friendly too. The performance brought Christmas cheer and has started our Christmas... More

Before our visit to Brum we thought we'd take in a show of some sort. Looking on line we were shocked at the fees charged over and above the ticket price. Then we found the Crescent where the price you see is the price you pay - even for booking online. OK the performance is not by well known artists... More

We've been to the Crescent many times and it never disappoints. The standard of plays is nearly always exceptional. We sometimes go on a Sunday afternoon when ticket prices are exceptionally low, it's an absolute bargain. The actors and backstage team are to be congratulated for the work they do there.

Went on the off-chance - very enjoyable production - acting excellent and sets great - was difficult to believe this wasn't a professional production. The intimacy of the studio theatre provided a great atmosphere for the play

Went here this week to see "Relatively Speaking" by Alan Ayckbourn, great play and fantastic acting in the Studio theatre. Lovely bar, full of young kids in costumes, easy to book. Just turned up that afternoon and booked a ticket for that evening in cash. Will look out for futures events when in the area.

Lovely theatre with a warm welcome from staff. Great auditorium with very good view from the raked seating. Very good front of house facilities and convenient being located in Brindley Place and a short walk from the city centre. Good parking available close by.

Visited the venue on 01/10/2016 with family to watch a performance & have to say lovely little theatre, helpful staff, nice, clean & tidy. If you are planning to drive then get ready to get lost lol unless you know the area, had to use a taxi to avoid getting lost and looking for parking as its in a central... More
