A gorgeous garden with a beautiful view of Warwick Castlel. £3 entry and a very peaceful place. Would recommend for views of the castle if you can't afford tickets or you want to avoid the Madame Tussauds touristy place Warwick Castle has been turned into.

I waited outside the gardens as they didn’t allow dogs. £3 to enter. Whilst I was sat outside I noticed about 12 people come down the lane, see the price, then walk away. It’s a shame about the price as I was informed it is a lovely private garden.

A delightful garden.
The £3 entry fee is for charity and the blue plaque on the house refers to the occupant's father, who did a lot for the garden and Mill Street. The lady told us that her parents had lived in the house since 1937. We looked up the history online and it is worthwhile doing that, to find more on the garden's history an how the Mill Street residents were able to buy their properties from the castle owner in the 1950's.
The garden sits in a superb setting next to the castle and you are free to wander as you wish or simply sit on the various seats, relax and admire the views.
Would definitely visit again

What an amazing day! From start to finish this place is incredible! We spent 6 hours here and loved every minute!! The horrible histories maze was fab even for us big kids, very informative and interesting (mainly lots of fun!!). We had THE BEST time at the war of the roses jousting, incredible!! Audience participation encouraged by the fab actors. The horses were incredible too! The castle and grounds itself are awe inspiring, the history of this amazing place just oozes from every inch of it. We’ve come away with amazing memories and lots of knowledge of the history of this wonderful wonderful place! Don’t hesitate, just go, you won’t regret it.

Small well maintained garden holding better waterside view of castle wall. 3 gbp entry per person (2022) is over priced. They do not state or show at entrance which charity they collect for and only accept cash. Not National Trust.

Down the bottom of Mill Street is the entrance to the garden. Gent there to take £3 per adult (cash only) and gave a brief history if the garden. Its not too big, but what it does have is a great view of the castle, lovely plants and benches. The paths have no reason to them, so to my daughter it was like a maze.
We must have been there 45 mins, but if we had planned it right we would have brought our packed lunch here rather than the bigger park

This place is beautiful 🤩, from every angle of the garden view is amazing . So tranquil and relaxing. It’s at the foot of the castle so you can take some brilliant photos , lots of places to sit and admire the views , colours and sounds . And entrance fee goes to charity 👏 the street is lovely too . We had a lovely chat with the lady who lives there , she was very helpful . All in all a great place if you like views , quiet places away from the crowds . My dad is elderly and has a walking stick got around the narrow paths ok , but not good if you have a wheelchair or pram

Saw the garden from above whilst exploring the castle towers. So made a point of finding it before leaving Warwick.
Mill Street in itself is fun, as no yellow lines and few street signs, so makes you feel as though you're in a period drama.
Greeted at the gardens by the owners who were happy to answer questions and tell us the best viewing spots. Beautiful plants and flowers, great views of the castle and super peaceful.
Had no qualms paying £3 especially as monies go to charity!

Very disappointed. The discription is more impressive than the garden. The garden is very small and lead's down to the river and the remains of the old bridge. There is a view of the castle. Very little in the way of colourful plants.
Some seating for the views.
Could be the hot weather causing the poor plant display, not sure.
Took a leisurely 10 minutes to look around.

We found this wonderful little garden by chance walking down on Mill Street. It came as a surprise so we decided to look around. It's really picturesque so charming the garden itself and the view in every direction is incredible. We sit down for a short time to enjoy it which is not difficult plenty of benches available. Entrance fee is only 3 pounds...well worths it.

How far is it from the nearest disabled parking? What is general accessibility like, ie are there many steps?
David B

Not suitable for wheelchairs due to narrow paths. I can't remember many (if any) steps.
It's in a residential permit area and I can't remember if there are any disabled parking so we parked in a park which was about 5 mins walk away.

Is it necessary to reserve tickets ahead? We are hoping to visit the garden Friday July 19. Thank you!

Are dogs welcome?

I think so, when we went it was closed officially but they let us pop in and walk around. In essence it's someone's back garden but it's a rather vast garden with some very impressive spaces. I can't see why not if your pet is well behaved.

Would we be able to take a picnic?
TheMillGardens
Warwick, UK
A discreet picnic would be fine, as long as you didn't mind being tucked away from the central lawns and not spread out on the lawn. We need to make sure all visitors can wonder around freely, to enjoy the garden and views.
We look forward to seeing you and hope you enjoy your visit.

Hi, we would suggest St Nicholas Car Park in Warwick, it is only a short walk away.
Hope that helps, please do let us know if you have anymore questions.

So sorry for the delay . I hope you visited the garden and enjoyed it . I am unsure about dogs being allowed, however as a dog owner myself I wouldn't take my boy in there because of unavoidable leg lifting up the plants . !! Then of course any unexpected toilet squats and associated foot scraping would be most inappropriate in the confined corners of this gorgeous garden. I still recall being there as a highlight of my year . Hope you did too.
