Taking a cruise to Southampton and having a BritRail south west pass before leaving USA entitled us to go to the most beautiful part of England called Cotswolds. Our train from London to Moreton in Marsh was a easy way to get there. Now when you get there many tours do not have room to pick you up at the rail station plus your luggage. Hoping we could take luggage with us, we only had a suitcase and carry on with each of us, they were able to fit us in. Cunard passengers who bring their closet with them better check first. We can't express the amount of joy this trip brings to us one year later, trip Oct. 2019. Now a year later youtube videos bring back the experiences we had on our GO COTSWOLDS day trip and when we realize we are viewing the same spots we seen on the tour, wow I can say we were there. We stayed one night at Moreton in Marsh in the old White Hart Royal hotel. We are in our late 60's and we walked there from the rail station. BritRail, Cotswolds, GO COTSWOLDS, and White Hart Hotel are the reason we say that after 1 year this day trip was one of the best days of our 50th anniversary one month tour of England and Europe. Go Cotswolds tour for us was the best and if you have limited time left before your trip home I hope you too will have happy memories about your day out in the Cotswolds.

Thank you for your wonderful review! We have had several cruise customers join our tour now - some, like you, stay in Moreton-in-Marsh and walk a few minutes to the station where we pick you up, while others overnight in London or Oxford and take the train to Moreton-in-Marsh on the morning of the tour. We have even had one cruise ship passenger take an early morning train all the way from Southampton! We wouldn't necessarily recommend this, as it makes a long day, but shows it's possible! With our new minibus we have plenty of space for all your luggage, so cruise passengers don't need to worry about that at all. I'm so happy that we were able to make your 50th anniversary that little bit more special.

This tour was really good, we were picked us up from just outside our hotel in Chipping Campden and then arranged to drop us off at the train station so we could go back to London. It was very easy to arrange this over email.

Even though the day was very wet and blustery we still had a really good time. Our guide Tom, was really enthusiastic throughout and gave us a great commentary of all the things we saw. The "secret" stop was probably my favourite.

I can highly recommend this locally owned business and would definitely go on another one of their tours again, probably the brewery tour.

Thanks for this wonderful review Matt! Our choice of pick-up locations certainly makes it very convenient to join our tour - whether you are staying in Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh or Stratford-upon-Avon, or joining us for a day trip from London, Oxford or Birmingham, it's easy to meet the tour! I'm sorry you experienced some typically British weather on your tour with us, but as we always say, "there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!" The Cotswolds are beautiful and can be enjoyed whatever the weather. We're sadly not able to run our Brewery & Pub Tours at the moment, due to COVID-19 putting a spanner in the works, but we hope that you'll join us again soon when these tours are back up and running :-)

Last summer we spent a day touring the Cotswolds without having to do the driving nor the reading of what we were seeing. Our driver guide kept us informed, safe, happy and on time all day long while we saw the sights. It was so much better than doing it on our own or getting buses or taxis from place to place. That would have really been a problem. A private tour would have been much more expensive than the small group we were. This was a quaint group that fit in a comfortable shuttle van; we had just enough people to nearly fill it. We are so glad we took this tour. Our guide did a fantastic job.

Thank you so much for your lovely review Pam! Thanks for highlighting that it can be tricky to get around the Cotswolds, especially if you don't have your own transport, or if you're not used to driving on the 'wrong' side of the road! Letting someone else do the driving really takes the stress out of your visit to the Cotswolds - even better when it's a local guide who knows the area like the back of their hand. Our small-group tours are also certainly very affordable compared to private tours.

Tom was a great tour guide, giving a perspective only a long time resident would have. He seemed to truly care about the area and wanted us to love it, too. He was always available to answer questions and point out the best places to visit on each stop. I wished the trip lasted longer.....

Thank you Lori for your lovely review! We wish every day was longer too, haha! Our tour is a full day of 7-8 hours duration, but with over 850 square miles of beautiful Cotswolds National Landsdcape, it's impossible to fit everything into one day. Instead we've picked some of the highlights - not too many, so you don't feel rushed - but we hope to whet your appetite so that you'll come back to explore more some day!

As our guide had lived in the Cotswolds, he was extremely well informed and enthusiastic about the area. The tour was relaxing yet it encompassed so many villages and scenic routes. The highlight was a surprise visit to an amazingly charming village that had not been listed on the itinerary. It's a place that's difficult to reach, but one that I had longed to see. I highly recommend Go Cotswolds Tours to anyone, especially those who had not considered a visit to this most charming slice of England.

Thank you for your lovely review Mary! One of the best things about our tours are our guides - we are all locals to the area so, unlike some other companies, we can give you real inside knowledge of the beautiful Cotswolds, its history, culture, people and way of life. I'm delighted that you enjoyed our 'secret village' - it's a real stunner! Thank you for recommending us to the Tripadvisor community, we really appreciate it!

We had an amazing day in the Cotswolds thanks to this tour. Tom was a very knowledgeable guide and gave us many insights about the Cotswolds' history and traditions. We visited some lovely villages, including a "secret" one, which was absolutely stunning. We highly recommend this company to properly tour this part of Britain.

Had a fantastic tour of the Cotswolds inspite of the weather. Our guide Mark was knowledgeable and showed us all the villages in the region, even the lesser known ones. We really appreciated being picked up from our hotel and dropped back at the hotel.

We definitely recommend Go Cotswolds to any one wishing to take a tour of the Cotswolds.

Thank you so much for joining our tour Vinita and Yadhuvansh - it was a pleasure to have you on our tour, especially after your previous tour had to be cancelled when we went into lockdown. It was great to be able to show you around the Cotswolds at last!

A lovely day tour of the Cotswolds in summer this year. Tom is a wonderful guide who is knowledgeable and passionate about the area, and shares his knowledge in a very accessible and friendly way. The Cotswolds are so beautiful and this tour is a perfect mix of covering a lot of different ground while still having plenty of time off the bus to explore the sights & villages.

This is my second trip and things were a bit different this time due to the Covid19 restrictions. It felt very safe, with restricted numbers, social distancing, mask-wearing on the bus and hand sanitiser every time we got back on. Well done to Tom & Lisa for making the adjustments necessary to make it safe while still providing a really enjoyable and affordable day tour. I can't recommend them enough!

This is a perfect opportunity for people in the UK to explore their own 'backyard', discover some of the treasures it holds and support this small independent business.

Thanks also to Lisa who facilitates all the bookings in such an efficient & friendly way, and answering any questions I had beforehand. Hope to see you again!

Thank you so much for your lovely review Jan, and for coming back to see us a second time! I'm delighted to hear that you felt our tour had been safely adapted for the COVID-19 era - we put a lot of thought into ensuring our tour is as safe as possible and compliant with the current Government guidance and laws, while also making sure that our guests still have fun! I just love your comment that our tour is perfect for people living in the UK - with the current restrictions on travel we are really missing our international visitors but we are delighted that so many "staycationers" are now exploring this beautiful country we call home! Thank you for your lovely comments about Tom and myself, we truly appreciate every word!

Had a good experience and would definately recommend everyone who are planning to visit for a day tour. It was well organized trip and our guide Collin was very friendly and was explaining details about every place with full of enthusiasm.
My only recommendation is if you can stop for atleast 5-10 mins in secret village. It was really very beautiful but it was a view from inside the van.
Overall trip was very good. 😀

Hi Tushar, thank you very much for your lovely review - this was Colin's first post-lockdown tour so I know he will be really pleased with your feedback! I hope Colin explained this to you at the time, but in case he didn't, we have decided, for now, not to stop at our 'secret village'. This small, rural community doesn't usually get many visitors, and is home to a number of elderly and vulnerable people. We feel that, in the current circumstances with regards to COVID-19, it is not yet appropriate for us to bring visitors back into the village. We know it's not ideal, but COVID-19 hasn't gone away yet and we have a responsibility to protect not only ourselves and our customers, but also our small village communities too. However, instead of stopping at the secret village, we drive very slowly around it, and take a more scenic route on our way to Stow-on-the-Wold, which takes in at least 2 further 'hidden gem' villages that – under normal circumstances – other guests don't get to see on our tour. We hope you will be able to visit us again some day when our secret village will be back on our itinerary! :-)

I went on the tour in May 2019 and even though the weather was not the best the guide was so enthusiastic and it was such a pleasure. I loved all the sights and all the information we were told. The tour is such a great way to explore the Cotswolds which had been a dream of mine for years. I can recommend it wholeheardedly to everyone and would go again!

Thank you Jacqueline for your lovely review! I'm sorry we couldn't magic up some good weather for you but hey, this is England and there's not much we can do about it so I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour nevertheless! I'm so glad to hear that we helped you to fulfil your dream of visiting the Cotswolds, and we hope you'll be back to visit us again some day!
