Staying just around the corner we called in mid afternoon and stayed longer than we planned. Great selection of beer, as you'd expect, lots of amazing fruited cider and some very tasty and unusual tonics to mix with gin. Welcoming bar man and a mix of locals and people like us who stumbled across it! Would be 5* except for the TV, always find them a distraction even when muted and subtitles on.

This place is ideal for those who appreciate Real Ale. This is probably not going to be the right place for anyone looking for a traditional type of pub with food and lots of draft lagers. I have visited a few times, the latest have been in Covid restrictions. Never disappointed. The staff are friendly and attentive, the selection of beers is great. Highly recommended.

Visited on a Sunny Saturday. Love this place great selection of ales and ciders. Hot day so a couple of different ciders for me. We sat out side in the sun. Details taken and cleaning done. Wish we were a bit more local.

Just spent an amazing couple of hours here. Lovely friendly atmosphere and good beer. I know it's Christmas but the pub was buzzing. We couldn't get our own table but we're invited to share by a lovely couple. If you are in Stratford thos is well worth a visit.

I like my ales and this was an excellent find when my wife and i had a few days in Stratford for the RSC. The weather was not good and we stumbled upon this place. Plenty of choice of bottle, tinned and draught beer, bound to find something that you like. I enjoyed some of the weird and wonderful, with a chat with the very knowledgeable host. A very enjoyable couple of hours!
