Excellent little bar if you like your ales. Friendly locals and chatty staff. Enjoyed a couple of pints before heading to the curry house down the road.

Just returned from our annual trip to Stratford upon Avon and spent a couple of hours every afternoon in this great bar. Great selection of beer and ciders and both staff and customers very friendly. A must visit and ideal if you are walking into...More

Friendly place for a good pint, good choice of beer. Beer was well looked after - a visit is recommended for anyone who likes good real ale.

A lively little jem. A great choice of real ales served in a traditional manner. Very friendly bar keeper and customers. There on open mic night, a great range of talented musicians. Well worth a visit.

Popped in after the Shakespeare's house and worth the visit, all beers straight from the barrel which I found in great condition(I'm not bothered about a head and I'm from the north) so let's have more of this I say. The only problem I had was...More

This is a small pub claiming to be a ‘micro pub’ what they are clearly not are a micro brewer or good cellarmen nor have any inkling of what customer service entail. Called in at 22.00 on a Wed, guy singing at the top of...More

Ah! The bad-tempered, slightly inebriated man who ordered a pint then realised that he didn’t have any cash. He declined to go to the cash point 100 yards away. He did actually have about £2.50 on him so I told him that he could have...More

Cheers to Phil and Andy for great hospitality. As a lone passing traveller from Cornwall this place oozed everything that’s good about a micro pub....banter, fun, ambience, excellent beer all within a a relaxed atmosphere. Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to revisit.

One of the better micros I’ve been too as the range of real ale seems to cover a good range of styles/colours/tastes. Very keen pricing for tourist trap Stratford. Recommended.

Ah, the “Northern Problem”. With gravity dispense we’re unable to provide John Smith’s-type beers, i.e. a large frothy head and chilled to the enth. We provide tasty ales at a temperature which means that the taste comes to the fore. It seems that everyone else...More
