Plenty of quirky shops and some
Very interesting buildings too. Nice to wander around without any traffic passing by. Lots of places to a tea and cake too. Very cleans and tidy.

We only had limited time and we tried to make the most of it. We walked up and down the streets of the town centre, but this was one of the more interesting areas to wander around. Lots of cafes and restaurants and shops of every type. Absolutely wonderful architecture! We just could not get enough of it! Good for tourists. Worth a visit.

As a high street, this does not stand above several other towns, but for one thing:-halfway down it has William Shakespeares house!. There is of course shops, places to eat and drink, but stood there in the middle is this remarkable survivor, complete with its garden and visitor center. The street is wide, clean and car free so can effortlessly be enjoyed.

We stayed near here on our road trip. We were able to leave our car at the hotel and walk over the bridge and from Henley Street, we were able to find ourselves around some of the major attractions. We bought a ticket through Viator which allowed us entry into 3 out of any 5 of the main Shakespeare attractions. We chose Hall's Croft, Shakespeare's Birthplace and Shakespeare's New Place for their location and convenience. It was summer and it was hot and crowded, but it was still fantastic.

This is where you start your visit to Stratford upon Avon. Historic buildings, cafes, shops etc. Admire the buildings, browse for antiques and then stop for tea with cake. Perfect afternoon.

I was fortunate to have arrived quite late, so most of the tourists had gone. It meant I could see all the lovely old buildings in the streets and really appreciate them. Definitely worth a wander and take a look in the museum shop too.

Lots of places to shop till you drop ranging. You can even sit down for a break and have a cup of coffee, cake and watch the world go by. How lovely and enjoyable!

Being home to Shakespeare's Birthplace, Henley Street is always very busy, often with numerous large tourist groups milling around waiting to visit Shakespeare's Birthplace. Some other interesting buildings and shops, though many of the shops sell only the most horrendous tourist tat.

This is a very busy street with Shakespeare's House and Birthplace Trust on it. Go early (in year and in day!) to avoid hordes of foreign tourists with cameras and tourguides. A few nice little tearooms as well as the touristy shops selling all sorts of paraphernalia.
