This place is so beautiful. It is about a mile loop from the town center, through the grounds of the church where the bard is buried and then up the other side. There are plenty of good pubs and restaurants close by,

Took Inca over to see the barges. They looked fabulous. The area was thriving. They had a festival on, loads to see and do. Nice craft fair on the town side of the river. Nice peaceful areas she could have a run round. Lovely to see the river been used and loved

We hired a motor boat from the company on the river and took a trip for an hour along the river. We took a picnic quickly bought from M&S with Prosseco ( bought plastic flutes too) and made it a lunch trip. Highly recommended, romantic and fun with some interesting property to see along the way.

We took this stroll back from Bathampton to Bath Center. The walk is very peaceful and at your own pace along the canal.

What a beautiful place this is. Ideal for honeymooners. Very pretty sight with a river full of swans and ducks.

Relaxing to walk along river Avon and there are lots of ducks and swans around. The animals are very used to human and you can easily spot a few photos with them.

My wife and I walked along the river after seeing the birthplace. It was cold but dry and we saw a lot of birds on the way. We crossed over at the bridge and walked back through the town

My wife and I saw this signposted near the Chain Ferry and made plans to explore. We went from the bridge downriver of the ferry as far as just south of the racecourse, returning past that and The Greenway and back up into the town. A very good ramble along the riverbank, up short climbs and through meadows and then... More

I came and walked along the trail to the second bridge and back to the town. It was cold but the scenery was lovely. Perfect to round off a trip to stratford with a cuppa to refresh yourself
