This was the home of John Harvard who was the founder of the famous University in America. Sadly not possible to now look around. It adjoins the old Garrick Inn.

This building is no longer open for touring but it is still of historic significance and is a lovely building. I think they are working on the interior from what I could gather.

Lovely historic house but in need of significant repair and preservation. Where is the USA and the funding that could preserve this closely associated house ?

Of all the times I have been in the town, My daughter which I brought on this trip asked to go inside. Glad we did,But is is very small and if there is a large group it is hard to maneuver. But that being said, It is a fine example of a home from that period and worth the time. The building it self is a great picture from the outside.

Splendid timber wood construction that was situated just opposite the Guild Chapel. The hose belonged to John Harvard of Harvard University fame. Pause at least for a picture.

It's a real pity its closed... wonder why?, Having visited Harvard it was really interesting visiting the connection halfway across the world. Even from the outside its worth strolling past to take a look. There is an ice cream shop opposite, so why not buy an ice cream and take in the history?! - a summer suggestion of course!

A beautiful 16th century timber wood house which lies just opposite of the "New House" of Shakespeare and the Guild Chapel. It has an interesting connection to Harvard University in the USA.

The Harvard House spreads its exhibits over the three floors of the old building and seems to be aimed more at children or teenagers. It has several hands-on interactive exhibits and little note cards telling of customs of the olden days.
It's quite interesting, but nothing much to rave about. It's part of the three-houses ticket of the Shakespeare houses, so if you're going to see the birthplace, you might as well check this one out too. I'm not sure if it's worth it in its own though.

Managed to visit this place before it was closed. Very interesting and it is a shame it has now been closed.

We visited here as part of our attraction ticket. It's very small and doesn't take long to look around but we liked it and the architecture is very interesting.
