The best (and weirdest) vintage shop in Newcastle and the north-east
Aug 2015 • Friends
Well where to start!

First and foremost this place is the most down-to-earth vintage shop around. The staff are super-friendly in person and particularly savvy with their facebook / instagram social media if you have a question about stock, prices or location.

The biggest anxiety about going into a new shop is generally not knowing if your going to be pressured to buy once you are through the door. They don't do this and most helpful of all they have a google streetview INSIDE the shop so you can get your bearings before you visit.

Stock wise they have a whole room where EVERYTHING is £1! Name another vintage shop that does that. They also scout around other stores in the area to make sure they are the cheapest in the north-east; they stopped posting up price comparisons with other shops as they thought it was a bit unfair especially as, really, every vintage item is unique.

As for the other rooms, generally they stock the vintage originals o what the high street is copying so recently its been Varsity Jackets, 90s outsized jumpers, baseball t-shirts and crazy pattern shirts. There is however a lot of weird stuff.... the stairwell is dimly lit with fairy lights AND COVERED WITH CREEPY BARBIES... its pretty cool / scary.

So yes. Basically if you like a vintage shop where the staff treat you as an equal this place is great. I'd recommend going in with a curious eye. There's even a fair few antiques including radios and robots too!
